Congrats to Linda Callahan aka abbysmom2198, the Featured Stamper (FS273) on Splitcoast! Since there is an extra Sunday, this April, I’m hosting again. And I’m sure you’ll love Linda’s clean style, fun layouts and wonderful color combos. I know I do!

For my case, I chose Linda’s For You card. The super layout and bright colors really grabbed me so I kept those. I changed the images (these are a sneak peek from Our Daily Bread designs), used different ribbon, used an embossing folder on the peach circles and did the right edge a little differently.

I stamped the beach scene several times, colored with markers and used several different sizes of Spellbinders circle die to cut them out without embossing them. The sentiment was stamped on some green dp (designer paper) and the peach was some I had left over and it already had the mesh (reverse side) texture embossed on it. I went around the edges with a white Permapaque marker to make them stand out a bit more then arranged them and popped a few of them up. The edge is a white strip die cut with a scallop border with a narrow strip of the green dp on top. I added the crystals and ribbon and the finished card is  4.25 x 5.50.

    Thanks so much for looking!

Depending on where you live Fall may or may not be part of your season, yet, imagine all the possibilities with this lovely image. How about blending various mediums on your craft sheet and created a unique background? Fall is Near simply, allows your creativity to flow! Fall is Near, lovely as a card or consider putting it in a frame! With Christmas right around the corner, can be used as a manly gift for that special someone in your life!

For my card, I stamped the image with permanent black ink onto watercolor paper.  I used a combination of reinkers and markers to watercolor the image. Highlights were added with a white gel pen.  The lt blue frame was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder and I cut the inside out and attached over the image.  The embossing was highlighted with a white Permapaque pen. Two butterflies were colored, cut out and attached. I used markers directly on the sentiment image before stamping. I added a little outline with a dark  blue gel pen.

  • Waves at Kanagawa

What a fantastic Inspiration challenge today at SCS! I loved all the examples, but I chose Mt Fuji & Wave. Mainly, because I love the image and actually own it in two sizes. This is the small one.

I stamped the image (Museum Stamps) on matte coat paper w/ the coal ink, then heat set it. I used a water brush and various colors of reinkers to water color the image. I added the ocean spray w/ a white gel pen. I did a very thin edging w/ a black marker then attached it to a teal layer. I stamped the kanji (Stampendous) on the side.

Layered a bunch of times, alternating w/ the tangerine and black then finally onto a teal card. The ribbon was added somewhere in the middle of the layers and I added faux brads (made w/ 2 sizes of hole punches). The top three layers were cut w/ Nestabilities rectangles that I resized.

    Stamps: Museum Stamps, Stampendous
Paper: white matte coat, teal, tangerine, black
Ink: AP coal, various Adironack reinkers
Accessories: black ribbon, hole punches, black marker, white gel pen, Nestabilites rectangles set
