Autumn Sunflowers 07248
My autumn sunflower card started with my stamped background. I love the Floral Alphabet S and I thought it would make a terrific background. I stamped it repeatedly across the kraft card stock with Versafine then added just a hint of color with a couple of Prismacolor pencils to the curvy letter S. The sunflowers (from the Fall Pops set) were stamped twice onto another piece of kraft c/s (using my Misti)..first with Memento, then colored with Prismacolor pencils…then over stamped with Versafine. I love how this brings back the details that I used to lose when using Prisma pencils. One image was die cut w/ an oval die & the other was fussy cut to add on top. I added a couple of layers behind it & on the large scallop kraft layer, I used a technique I devised way back in 2008 to “resize” the dies…I extended the length of the scallop rectangle. The original die is nowhere near as long as it is on my card. But as long as the original die is symmetrical, this technique will work. The Autumn die cut was added along with a white Candi dot. The white dots were added with a white gel pen.
Here’s a look at the inside using some leftover pieces & a scallop frame.

Cornucopia 04982 For my Thanksgiving card, I stamped the beautiful Horn of Plenty, colored it with Copics, then die cut it. A gold, leaf border die cut square was added underneath before attaching to a large chocolate colored layer.

Cornucopia xcu 04991 I used a Cheery Lynn Chrysanthemum die to make the white flower and a CL sunflower die on the yellow flower. I also used a CL fanciful flourish die. Embedded in my corner fall corsage arrangement, I have my non-craft item…the netting. It’s actually from a bag of lemons and I used an orange Copic to make the yellow a bit deeper. A little raffia tied in a loose bow adds the finishing touch. The tag was die cut and stamped with the Small Happy Thanksgiving and I used a Copic to color the border of it.
Cornucopia inside 04989 On the inside, I used a leftover narrow frame that I also colored w/ Copics, some leftover chrysanthemum petals and a band of the chocolate on which I stamped the small Maple Leaf.
Cornucopia env 04997 As an extra non-craft item, I used my envelope punch board to make a sturdy envelope out of an old calendar page. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50 and these are the Copics I used.

I chose to use the Floral Alphabet S and Lg Wild Sunflower images for my card. I first stamped the Lg Sunflower onto a handwritten text designer paper and the Floral S onto white. I colored both with Copics, then die cut them both. I used my out of the box technique for the Sunflower, used a craft knife to cut & “lift” the lower petals & leaf of the sunflower, then attached it to several more die cut layers. The Floral S was attached off center to a die cut black piece then inserted under the “lifted” petals & leaf.

The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50 and these are the Copics I used.
