This was made for 3 Splitcoaststampers Challenges…today’s Sketch (SC613), yesterday’s Color (CC603) & Monday’s Technique (TLC606). I used all of the colors for my Thanksgiving card & did a little bandana tech on the olive green strips. For the sketch, I let the legs of the scarecrow serve as the 2nd horizontal band of the sketch, but all other elements are there.
The scarecrow was colored w/ Copics, fussy cut & added to a stitched oval that I stamped the arced greeting across the top. The scroll image was stamped on the die cut olive strips & I used the white gel pen for the bandana tech. The ombre yellow strip started out a honey color & I sponged the Distress inks on it going to red at the bottom. The sponged & fussy cut leaves & punched branches were added around the oval.
Here’s a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

The Sketch Challenge (SC565) on Splitcoast is an easy one. I did tweak it a bit by flipping it upside down & using the long rock fence in place of a separate horizontal band. So while the sketch is easy, my card was a bit more difficult due to all the masking I had to do. This is also for Kathleen’s HYCCT1512, Make it Tasty. Plenty of tasty pumpkins on my card!
This fall scene is all on one layer but the rock fence, the scarecrow, the pumpkins & the crow on the branch are all separate images. The scarecrow & pumpkins were stamped first, masked, then the wall was stamped. I had to do the wall twice because the wall image has a gate but I wanted to leave that part out. Then the crow was stamped. I used a reverse circle mask & sponged in the sun & colored everything else with Copics. Two little fussy cut leaves were added along w/ the greeting.
Here’s the inside & below it are the Copics I used.

What a fun technique for today’s Technique Challenge (TLC449) on Splitcoast…Faux Whitewash! I followed the instructions except instead of dye ink/waterbrush I used my water based Tombow markers.
After embossing, whitewashing and coloring w/ the markers, I added a die cut sentiment and some whitewashed sunflowers on the large layer. Some white buttons were used to fill in the empty space beside the image.
