25 Days of Christmas Tags!

Welcome to Day 6 of Tracey McNeely‘s 25 Days of Christmas Tags! I’m here representing Serendipity Stamps w/ a brand new Snowman w/ Umbrella image. Isn’t he cute?

After placing him in my Misti, stamping him w/ Memento & coloring w/ Copics, I over stamped w/ Versafine to bring out the details. I cut him w/ a large tag die, doing a little out of the box to keep from cutting his umbrella then used a craft knife to cut around his mitten & the umbrella shaft to place the postage stamp frame around & under him. A die cut Merry was added above the stamped Christmas & a fussy cut snowflake added beside him. Some colored gems were glued over his buttons and a little stickles was added to the snow & snowflake. Can’t have too much sparkle for Christmas!

Supplies:

Stamps: Serendipity Stamps – Snowman w/ Umbrella, Christmas, Snowflake

Paper: X-Press It white, heavy white (Recollections), small scrap of red

Ink: Memento tuxedo black, Versafine onyx (to over stamp after coloring)

Accessories: lg tag die (ODBD-retired), Misti, stickles, crystals, Spellbinders Postage Stamp, rectangles & Merry dies, ribbon, baker’s twine

Serendipity SSCB #33 Twine pt 2

Welcome to the second part of the July Challenge for Serendipity Stamps! This month the challenge is is Twine. The design team has the added challenge of Cool…(cool colors, water, cool images…etc). You only have to use twine. The sale at Serendipity Stamps this week is Buy 3, Get a 4th one free. Runs through July 23rd

For my card, I used cool teal and turquoise colors. To make the background, I die cut a white strip and several colors of turquoise/teal with a border die. I attached them to a white panel then pieced the different colors of the cut outs back into some of the spaces left. The flower (sunflower) was colored w/ Copics and fussy cut. I added a wrinkled seam ribbon bow topped off w/ a flower button tied w/ twine and the greeting on a little die cut tag. Just a touch of Wink of Stella was added to the flower center. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50 and these are the Copics I used.

Peach Tea

The two challenges today on Splitcoast, the CAS281 (a color challenge) and the TLC490 (stamp, punch) seemed doable as a combination, so that was the direction I went. My card isn’t quite as clean & simple as I originally intended, but it’s close enough for me, since most everything is punched or die cut.

The fun greeting was stamped on a large die cut tag and again a few times on scrap pieces. I used a multi tag punch to punch out parts of the greeting, then added a some color w/ my Copics and popped them up on top of the original greeting. The teapot & cup were die cut and I added a scrap behind the roses parts that I also added color. The peach doily was die cut as well as the white & coral layers.

The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50 and these are the Copics I used.
