  • Thank You Flowers

A flower thank you card, stamped onto dk grey & colored w/ Prismacolor pencils & a white gel pen. Be sure to check my post for hints & colors used..
A big congrats to Amber, the newest Featured Stamper (FS836)! She has a beautiful gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I kept the layout & flower thank you theme, but used different images, dies & colors. Instead of using the white wash like she die, i used Prismacolor pencils on my flowers.

For my card, I die cut the dk grey panel using the 2nd largest mini slimline die. By coincidence, it is just the right size for an A2 card. I used my Misti, both flowers & a pair of leaves from the stamp set along w/ the masks for the flowers (comes w/ the set), to stamp the images using gray flannel ink. Prismacolor pencils & a white Signo pen were used to color them. I die cut a pale grey & dusty pink panel to layer beside the dk grey.

The single flower was stamped onto a piece of the pale grey & again, colored w/ Prismas & a white Signo. This flower was die cut & popped up on foam. For the greeting tag, I stamped it w/ versaclair & clear embossed it. I used the smallest tag to die cut it. Then I moved the die a couple of times..both up from the bottom & in from both sides to make a much smaller tag.

Here are the Prismacolor pencils I used (listed on the pic in order from left to right). The pencils to the right of the white pencil are the ones I used on the single flower. The others were used on the flowers on the grey background. Those colors were too peachy to match when I colored in the single flower on the very light grey paper. Colors usually look totally different depending on what color you use for your background. For the bright white edges of the petals, I used the white gel pen & immediately softened it a bit w/ a water brush. The gel ink is pretty much water soluble (until it dries) & I wanted it to look a little softer & blend in more.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

A big congrats to Janine, the newest Featured Stamper (FS835)! She has a big, beautiful gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I kept the layout, but used different images, dies & paper. I also made mine A2 size instead of square.

My little miniature aquarium view card was made using some really cute undersea creatures & seaweed/coral images. After coloring, they were all die cut along w/ a really large white circle for the background. For the pink stitched frame, I die cut a circle stitch cover die & cut out one of the circles it has to use for my frame. The greeting was stamped directly onto the dp along w/ the cute little splashes.

I just love the happy expressions in their cute little faces. Here are the Copics I used:

  • Sunflower Friend

    1. A big congrats to Carol, the newest Featured Stamper (FS830) on Splitcoast! She has such a lovely gallery and I chose THIS card to case. I kept the layout and the wreath shape, but I used different images, dies, die cut the flowers of my wreath, centered my wreath and left off the ribbon.

For my sunflower wreath, i stamped the outlines parts of the sunflower set w/ black then inked the filler parts w/ yellow, amber & lt orange inks. I also stamped a bunch of leaves , then die cut everything. A large white stitched circle was popped up after stamping the Friend works, than all the flowers & leaves were arranged around it. The narrow black scallop frame was leftover from a previous project.

Some of the sunflowers were popped up & the rest were attached under, directly on the circle.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
