Flower Friends card by Julie Warner for Splitcoaststampers – using Copic ink bg, MFT stitched flowers & friend dies, Memory Box circle burst die

A big congrats to Janja, the newest Featured Stamper (FS591) on Splitcoast! She has a really lovely gallery & I chose THIS to case. I loved the layout w/ the split panel and pretty flowers so I kept that, but I used different images, different dies & reversed the angle of the split.

I actually have the same azalea image but didn’t use it because I thought that would be too matchy matchy. So I stamped, colored & die cut 2 of the lily images. I don’t have a specific angle cut die like she used, so after die cutting the white panel, I just picked a rectangle die that I liked the edges & turned it on an angle to cut the panel apart.
Here’s a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.

For the Inspiration Challenge (IC649), Angie chose Vineyard Marketplace & I chose THIS for my inspiration. I like the bright colors & floral theme.

This bg was made a while ago, using swirls made with plain old glue then using watercolors on top of it. I just really like the bright, happy colors & thought they’d go well behind these whimsical leaves. The leaves were put into my Misti, stamped, colored w/ Copics & a Prismacolor pencil overlay, then stamped again. I added the greeting & did my out of the box technique to die cut it. By the way, I first did that tutorial way back in Feb 2009 using another IO image set! It’s probably my most used technique. After matting, I used stickles in some areas, added a few sequins & some white dots for contrast.
