A big congrats to Rita, the newest Featured Stamper on Splitcoast! Wow, does she have a BIG gallery & so many beautiful things to see. After much browsing, I chose THIS to case (copy & share everything!). I kept the flower theme & general layout, but I moved the vertical band to the other side, used different dies, different colors & made mine a Christmas card. I also realized when I went to link to Rita’s card, that she had cased a card of Kittie’s, lol. So I guess this is a case of a case!
For my card, I started w/ a large white die cut panel & narrower dot border die cut white linen panel. On the larger one, I sponged the red & red-orange inks from the bottom left corner up & out for a little ways, letting it kind of trail off at the ends, then I attached the dot border linen panel on top. I die cut the poinsettia ribbon & larger grosgrain ribbons along w/ the wider leaf poinsettia out of the same linen but I sponged the red inks on the big poinsettia & the wider ribbon.
The Merry part of the greeting was also die cut & sponged. For the center of the poinsettia, I used a frosted flatback resin button..it’s very sparkly & looks like cut glass. It was clear but I dotted it all over w/ a lipstick orange Copic marker.
I’m adding this to the Simon Says Monday Challenge – Red, White &/or Blue.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
