Best of 2012 –SPLITCOASTSTAMPERS!
The Ways to Use It Challenge (WT375) on Splitcoast has us using complementary colors and I think my card fits that. I love the high contrast I get with complementary colors and I use them frequently. The images are a sneak peek from DRS Designs.
The trumpet player was stamped three times, colored with makers and the I sponged the ground and cut the top in a straight line with top halves of the band members out of the box. The music background was sponged as well and I attached this on the top half of my 5.50 x 4.25 card. The band players were added on the bottom and a fourth (red pants) trumpet player was cut out and elevated slightly. The sentiment was split onto banners which were sponged with the die still in place. It’s funny, but I realized these guys were wearing gloves after I colored their sleeves and hands, so I added the line so they wouldn’t be wearing gloves. I was in the marching band all through school and I can tell you from experience, gloves would have made it impossible to play, lol. Especially with the E flat clarinet I played (about half the size of a regular clarinet).
Thanks so much for stopping by!
