I made this for the Splitcoaststampers Fan Club October Christmas Challenge! I’ve been having so much fun being a part of the challenge this year & the bonus is I’ll have a bunch of Christmas cards finished in plenty of time for Christmas this year. You’ll need to be Fan Club member but that’s easy…just click the blue link to find out how.

For my Christmas card, I stamped & white embossed the Snowflake Package. I used a reverse mask around it then sponged on the tumbled glass & peacock feathers inks. A lipstick orange Copic was used to carefully fill in the bow & ribbon then I added a little Wink of Stella on top of the red. When I die cut it I did a little out of the box to keep the bow intact.

The large background is also emboss resist & I used some of the many snowflake images from the large bg stamp. I just cut the lg image apart so I could use the ones I wanted more easily. Only the first part of the greeting was used below the present so I put the rest on the inside.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Polar Bear Magic

I made this for the Splitcoaststampers Fan Club August Christmas Challenge! I’ve been having so much fun being a part of the challenge this year & the bonus is I’ll have a bunch of Christmas cards finished in plenty of time for Christmas this year. You’ll need to be Fan Club member but that’s easy…just click the blue link to find out how.

To make my card, I put the X-Press It paper into my Misti, stamped the Polar Bears & colored them w/ Copics. I masked them, then stamped the 2 step Watercolor Forest w/ the Memento summer sky & bamboo leaves behind the bears. I used a torn piece of paper to lightly sponge in the snow using the Distress tumbled glass ink. To die cut the panel, I first used the largest of the stitched rectangles dies to cut the entire scene, then used a die 2 sizes smaller to cut the center. Both were attached to slightly larger layers of red glitter paper before attaching to the card. I also added a thin layer of fun foam behind the center panel to raise it up a tad. Stickles was added to the snow & trees. Here’s a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.

This is also for the Featured Stamper challenge (FS594). I chose THIS card of Shannon’s to case. I kept the layout but her sleigh turned into my camper, her Christmas tree became my palm tree & I made a summer card instead of a Christmas card.I think this looks like a real summer vacation, doesn’t it? I don’t know that I’d park that cute camper so close to the water, but it had to fit on my card, lol. Since the images are rather large, this is all on one layer. I added a narrow burlap printed layer behind it but everything else was stamped, masked, colored & sponged on the one piece of card stock. I used a circle mask for the sun then sponged it, the sky & the water in. Everything else was colored w/ Copics. With the camper colors & beach front, I’m thinking this is in Florida.
Here’s a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.

Please be sure to comment on all the blogs..it is much appreciated & also increases your chances of winning!
