Easter Egg Greetings

Happy Easter! And a big congrats to Jayne, the newest Featured Stamper (FS582) on Splitcoast! She has a lovely little gallery & I chose THIS to case. I kept the bright reddish/orange bg w/ large central image, but I used different images, different die cuts & made mine an Easter card.

For my Easter card, I made a background using distress oxide & regular distress inks by brayering the inks onto white. On top of this, I also stamped the Brick Wall w/ water. It’s not real noticeable, but it does add a nice textural look, especially on the darker part at the bottom. Then the Pussywillow image was stamped w/ gray ink & I added a little white Prismacolor pencil to the buds.

Easter Ducks

Such a cute site for the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC642)!After a lot of browsing, I chose THIS for my inspiration. I liked the sweet little duck & all the Easter eggs & I needed an Easter card so it was perfect.

For my Easter card today, the baby ducks were stamped, colored & die cut, and I had to do a little out of the box on the grass along the way. The large green bg started out white but I sponged Distress & Distress oxide inks onto it, splattered it & also stamped the Splatter Bg on it in blues, greens & finally white. The white splatter was heat embossed w/ white powder & I left an area at the bottom w/o too much on it so I could add the greeting. I was going for that speckled egg look on the bg.

Easter Lilies

It’s my turn to host the Splitcoaststampers Featured Stamper Challenge (FS580) so a big congrats to Carlene! Carlene not only has a beautiful gallery, she also volunteers her time to notify people each week in the favorites thread & also leaves the warmest, sweetest comments for everyone. It’s truly my pleasure to feature her this week.

After much browsing, I chose THIS to case. I love the sun ray embossing so I kept that, but I used different colors, different die cut bg & made mine an Easter card.

For my Easter card, I first die cut & embossed the sunburst bg. For the Lily Cross Blessings circle, I stamped it w/ Versacolor indigo pigment ink then heat embossed it w/ pastel embossing powder. The embossing powder lightens the ink color & gives it a slight metallic sheen. For the lilies , I put the image into my Misti, stamped it w/ sky blue ink, lightly colored w/ Copics, over stamped w/ the same indigo ink & embossed w/ the same powder. Then I did quite a bit of fussy cutting on them.
