    Weekly-Favorite
A big congrats to Debby, the newest Featured Stamper (FS391) on Splitcoast! She has wonderful gallery and I found quite a few I wanted to case, but I was really drawn to THIS card with its cute little snowman and wonderful colors. I kept the snowman theme and colors, but I used different images, different die cuts and made my own patterned paper instead of using designer paper.

I stamped the three snowmen, colored them and cut them out. I didn’t have the cute little die cut hillside Debby used, so I die cut a similar one a couple of times then added it some white hills for my snowy background. On the blue bg, I used some white pigment ink to stamp a snowflake background & I used a polka dot border & the same ink on blue frame. For the white frame, I used some soft pool ink and a chevron border image to stamp it. The greeting is part of a larger one & I used a SAMJ to position just the 3 words then die cut it w/ a diamond shaped die. The trees die cuts actually started out much fuller & w/ leaves, but I cut them off to resemble winter trees. I added a little stickles to the snowflake bg and buttons on the snowmen. The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25 and these are the Copics I used.

    Beautiful Geraniums 04234
For my abundant geraniums, I used dye reinkers to water color two backgrounds..one coral, one green then punched out the flowers (using several sizes of hydrangea petals) and the leaves then shaped them w/ a stylus. I can’t even tell you how long that took for all these little flowers & leaves. I used a white gel pen to add the lines & centers and a marker to add that distinctive “geranium” leaf line to the leaves.

The greeting was stamped on a die cut piece of textured white then added to a fancy die cut piece of leftover water colored bg and attached on a piece of green dp. The red frame between the white top and green dp layer, is out of the same water colored paper I used for the flowers. It was a little plain, so I stamped the geranium image w/ black ink to add a little something extra.

    Anchor 04218
For my first card, I stamped the wonderful Anchor scene, colored it with Copics then did a bit of my out of the box technique on the right side using a classic oval die. I kept the colors a little toned down to coordinate with the background paper I wanted to use. The larger black oval and wide black panel were done with the embossing folder stamping technique. I sprayed one side of an embossing folder w/ sparkly silver & gold sprays, then pressed a piece of black card stock inside. There is no texture since I didn’t emboss it…just sparkle! On the teal woodgrain patterned paper, I stamped the little anchor & compass rose with teal ink  & the fishing net background on the right side with gold ink. The two different braided ropes w/ shells were something I’ve had in stash for quite a while. The smaller one was glued around the oval and the larger one tied in a bow and added. The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25 & these are the Copics I used.

    Better Flip Flops 04208
On my second card, I went with a fun tropical color combo and lots of sparkle. I had some pieces of striped paper w/ lines of sparkle already in it so I used a couple of rainbow ink pads to sponge in those colors on the stamped, die cut flip flops. I also used them to stamp the big sand dollar then stamped the greeting on top. It was die cut with one of the circle ornament dies and I used a scallop circle on the teal layer. The little teal border was die cut with an edge of a scalloped long rectangle die I used on both sides. I added a few gems and stickles in tropical colors to the flip flop straps. The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25.
