For my first card, I combined the new Vintage Labels dies & Carried to Heaven with the Flourish Label Borders, Vintage Flourish Pattern dies, Ornamental Cross Collection dies & Chalkboard Vine Background from last month’s release. I also added the Cala Lily from the Loving Memories set. After I die cut the Vintage Labels and the Vintage Flourish Pattern dies out of white, I left the dies in place on the labels and stamped the Chalkboard Vine pattern on top using the sky blue ink. I added the Flourish Label Border on the largest die using the black ink.

    Blue Sympathy 03497
The lilies were colored with Copics and fussy cut. I added a bit of blue to the smallest cross and stacked the crosses on top of the lilies. The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25 and these are the Copics I used.

    Blue Sympathy copics 03474Supplies:

    Sheltering Angel 03488
For my second card, I used the Sheltering Angel, the Chalkboard Vine Background, the Vintage Label Dies, the largest of the Vintage Flourish Pattern die and the Angel Wings dies. I liked the lt blue ink on white on my first card, so I made a large background again using the Chalkboard Vine Bg and the sky blue ink. I thought it needed a little something, so I pierced all around the border. The Sheltering Angel blessing was stamped, die cut and with the die still in place,  I used colors from the two Kaleidacolor pads to sponge the color on top. For the yellow label and the largest background, I stamped the Chalkboard Vine bg again using the straw ink (stamped one off) and sponged on a little more of the same ink to deepen the color. The Angel Wings were die cut out of yellow and I used the yellow & orange inks from the melon Kpad to add a little more color.

  • Wisteria

Julie Warner – https://thewritestuff.justwritedesigns.comI had a little more time today, so I made another for the Color Challenge (CC476) on Splitcoast. The colors seemed perfect for this wisteria image. After stamping and coloring with Copics, I did my out of the box treatment on it. It’s such a large image it was about the only way I could add any more layers and have them show. After die cutting it and the brushed gold layer behind it, I wanted a little more color but all I had was the darker strip on the left, so I added another strip of a lavender heather and embossed it for some texture.

Julie Warner – https://thewritestuff.justwritedesigns.comI added two metallic Candi dots in the curves on top and bottom. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50 and these are the Copics I used.

  • Be Married

    Julie Warner – https://thewritestuff.justwritedesigns.com
A big congrats to Priscilla, the newest Featured Stamper on Splitcoast (FS377)! She has such a wonderful gallery and it was so hard to chose…I may have to come back with another! Besides the fact that Priscilla loves to use die cuts and embossing folders, I noticed she also has a lot of pink & white cards. For my CASE, I chose THIS card. I kept the layout, the colors & the embossed background but I used different images, made my focal point a large tag & used a sheer bow instead of a band of lace.

After stamping my greeting, I die cut with a large tag die on 3 sides but used a fancy tag for the left end. The pink border was done with a pink Copic marker & I also used it to tint the sheer white ribbon for the bow. The flower/ring corner image was stamped on the large white panel, colored with Copics then I used a corner embossing folder on 3 of the corners. I had to rotate the folder and do 1 corner at a time in order to do 3 corners since the folder is actually only 2 opposing corners. I added a bit of stickles to the flowers, a pink layer & called it done! These are the Copics I used.
