  • Zombie Family Portrait

This is for Saturday’s Inspiration Challenge (IC564) on Splitcoast. I didn’t have time to get it finished & uploaded yesterday, so I’m a little late. Audrie also asked us to do something “different” than we usually do. Though this is the second time this week I’ve used these creepy zombies, it’s not my usual style to make cards that are definitely on the creepy side. ghoultimes-portrait-09735
I stamped all the zombies, colored them, then fussy cut them. I had this little white window type frame left over from something & liked how they fit in it, so I stamped the greeting, added a sage green layer (it kind of matches their skin, don’t you think?) & a larger black layer. The black layer has a barbed wire fence embossed across it & the bottom edge was punched w/ a drippy goo punch.  I think this family was probably a lot more attractive before the “ghoul times”, lol.

Today I have a quick card for 3 Splitcoast challenges…F4A329 (reflect weather), WT587 (trash to treasure), and CC586 (green, pool & misty blue). Frog on a Log 08558
You can see by my card, that the weather is cloudy & overcast. The trash to treasure item is the little black bow..it came off of a pkg & I saved it from the trash. Seriously, on my best ribbon tying day (if there is such a thing… ribbon & I have a long standing love/hate relationship..I love ribbon, it hates me!), I could NEVER tie a bow that small. To make my card, I stamped w/ Memento, colored w/ Copics,  masked & sponged in the cloudy sky, then over stamped w/ Versafine. The clouds were done w/ a cloud stencil I made by cutting the cloud shape edge w/ a pair of scallop scissors. I left the bg water white so the entire scene wouldn’t be covered in blue. I added an embossed green layer, the trash bound bow & a pair of die cut white dandelions.

Here are the Copics I used.

  • Best Red Wishes

    Best Red Wishes cu 08884
    Weekly-Favorite
The theme for the Clean & Simple (CAS375) Challenge on Splitcoast is Wedding/Anniversary. I had some rich red strips left over from something & a white die flower panel so I put the two together. I die cut them using some stitched rectangles & stitched circles.
    Best Red Wishes 08883
I had to do 1 side at a time & move the stitched rectangle die in to get the narrow white strip. The largest red panel already had a circle cut out of it & I just made it a little bigger using the stitched circle die. The leftover little half circle is from the strip on the inside. The white flower panel was attached on top & under the red panel & I used some foam tape strips to add some dimension behind it.

Here’s a look at the inside.
