The Color Challenge on Splitcoast (CC745) is red, white & blue w/ a dessert option of Patriotic. Since it’s almost the 4th of July, it sounded perfect.

My card is pretty simple..I colored & fussy cut the patriotic heart & blue layer behind it. Stamped the greeting on the die cut white front. I also die cut the band of stars down the left & replaced the outline w/ a blue one.

Celebrate Freedom

Congrats to Joanne, the newest Featured Stamper (FS642) on Splitcoast! She has a wonderful gallery & I was inspired by THIS patriotic card. I kept the Freedom theme & flag, but I used different stamps, different dies & changed the layout. And this Memorial Day, please take a moment to remember & give thanks to those that gave their lives to ensure our freedom.

For my card, I stamped the patriotic wave, multiple times (to get good coverage). A Misti is really handy for solid images like this. Since the ink I used isn’t technically for use w/ Copics, I heat set it then carefully colored in the red stripe & fussy cut the top edge. I did the same for the big heart shaped flag image. The cityscape & USA were die cut & I had to link the letters because I ran out of room to stretch them out. The greeting is 2 put together & I used a corner rounder on the rectangle.

Freedom Bell

For today’s Free for All Challenge (F4A279), we are to make a card for July 4th. Mine is pretty quick & easy..after stamping, coloring and fussy cutting the Liberty Bell & USA letters, I added the letters to die cut red, white & blue banners. The white bg was die cut & embossed w/ a stripe pattern and the greeting was die cut & added to a larger die cut circle w/ the ring of stars on it. The finished card is 4.25 5.50 and these are the Copics I used.
