For my first card, I’m using one of the new 1304M Flower Pops, the 1305E Flower Corner and the 1303E Happy Mother’s Day.

    Julie Warner – https://thewritestuff.justwritedesigns.com

I stamped and colored 2 of the big Zinnias, fussy cut and layered them on top of each other. I also added another cut out center on top and used some dimensional silicone under the petals so they’d keep their shape. The flower corner panel was die cut with a curvy border, attached to black and I used a Japanese screw punch to add the holes along the curve. The greeting was stamped on a larger pink panel, edged with black and I added 2 Candi dots in the lower right corner. Here are the Copics I used.

Stamps: Serendipity Stamps – 1304M Flower Pops, 1305E Flower Corner, 1303E Happy Mother’s Day.
Paper: X-Press It white, pink, black
    Ink:  Memento tuxedo black
Accessories:  Copic markers, Spellbinders curved border dies, stickles, Japanese screw punch, Candi dots, black Permapaque marker, dimensional silicone adhesive

My second card features the new 1307 Mason Jar, 1306F Wildflowers and the Dandelion & Puff flowers from the 1304M Flower Pops set.

    Julie Warner – https://thewritestuff.justwritedesigns.com
This was just a tad tricky to put the flowers in the jar and have it look “correct”. I first stamped the flowers and masked the stems before stamping the mason jar on top. I stamped just the top of the mason jar on a separate piece and after coloring everything, I cut out the 2 horizontal bands of the jar and attached them on top of the corresponding area on my base image. I added a little splatter and the greeting (469J). On the background, I stamped the 2 flowers using the grape & posy inks and I used generational stamping with these…meaning I stamped them more than once before reinking. Here are the Copics I used for this card.

After stamping and coloring the aprons image, I used my out of the box technique to die cut it. I used more dies for the red, yellow & green layers and also an embossing folder on the red & green layers. I edged the panels with a black marker and stamped the greeting & added a die cut pair of cherries. These are the Copics I used for this.

  • February NCC Look Back!

Today we are revisiting the North Coast Creations February release! And such a beautiful release it is! If you love flowers and beautiful greetings, these sets are definitely for you!

I’m using the Floral Sentiments 6  for my card. Technically, the image is a hydrangea, but except for the leaves, it looks a lot like a geranium. So I stamped it 3 times, colored with Copics and fussy cut, making sure to trim off the leaves. I love geraniums so I have 3 sizes of geranium leaf punches and I used those for the new leaves. After punching the leaves out of green card stock, I added some color to mimic real leaves and some “vein” lines with a stylus. The greeting was stamped on a large leaf and I added a couple of stamped & die cut bees (Our Daily Bread designs – Zinnia & ODBD Zinnia dies) and a die cut white background (ODBD Daisy Chain Bg die). I used a curved border die on the white & green backgrounds and attached them to a piece of the beautiful ODBD Blooming Garden collection paper, The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50 and these are the Copics I used for my geraniums.

For my card, I’m using the beautiful new Mother’s Day set. To make it even more fabulous, there is a matching poppy die for the gorgeous poppy image! Sweet! After copper embossing, coloring and die cutting, I layered a second die cut poppy on top of the base image for a little dimension. I used the exclusive ODBD Elegant Ovals die (made by Spellbinders) for the double frame around the poppy. I made a lattice behind it using a trellis border punch and raised the entire rose pink panel from the white layer to enhance the lattice window effect. I doodled around the edge w/ a white gel pen and added a lg daisy punch border across the bottom.

    Julie Warner - justwritedesigns - https://thewritestuff.justwritedesigns.com

The proverb has rounded corners to mimic a long word window punch. I added a dp layer before attaching to a 4.5 x 6.25 (A6) white card. A large yellow gem was attached to the center of the poppy.

Next, hop on over to Debi Southard’s blog to see what amazing project she has to share!

    Thanks for stopping by!
