Mermaid Tails

For the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC708) we have Converse shoes. They actually have a colorful, fun site & I was inspired by THIS pair of shoes. I love the rainbow of colors.

For my card, I first white embossed the mermaid tails & little fish then used Distress reinkers & a waterbrush to create the rainbow of colors.The paintbrush was used to float in water, a section at a time, then drops of the reinkers were added. I made another little scrap like it to use for the die cut the “Happy”. A little splatter, some sequins, the stamped rest of the greeting & done.

Here’s the inside..I did a little masking to recreate the Fintastic part.

Stars & Stripes Forever

The Color Challenge on Splitcoast (CC745) is red, white & blue w/ a dessert option of Patriotic. Since it’s almost the 4th of July, it sounded perfect.

My card is pretty simple..I colored & fussy cut the patriotic heart & blue layer behind it. Stamped the greeting on the die cut white front. I also die cut the band of stars down the left & replaced the outline w/ a blue one.

Cool & the Gang

For the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC706), we have fun site of little felted animals. After much browsing, I chose THIS for my inspiration. It seems I don’t have any llama (or sheep or fox) images so I made mine all pigs.

I used Leonard & his cool gang instead of llamas. They look kind of like a DooWop group..all in step. big Billboard Leonard & all the DooWops were colored w/ Copics & fussy cut along w/ all their accessories. I had this shaving cream bg w/ the circle cut out left over from last week’s card. So I stamped some stars on top, put a white circle frame around the opening & put Leonard inside & all the DooWops across the bottom. The greeting is made of 3 different ones.
