Welcome to the Our Daily Bread designs April Release Blog Hop!
We on the DT have been having a great time playing with our fabulous new images and dies and I have a feeling you’re going to want to play too!  You might want to pop on over to the ODBD Blog and start from there.

For my card, I’m using the fabulous Hyacinth set and Quatrefoil Background die.

I also used the Spellbinders coordinating Labels 26 to die cut the Hyacinth image. After stamping the hyacinth twice, I colored one entire image and just the hyacinth on the other using Copic markers. I fussy cut the single hyacinth and popped it up on top of the base image. The sentiment was stamped inside the banner area of the image after it was colored. Some highlights were added using a white gel pen.  The Quatrefoil pattern was die cut out of grass green card stock and attached to a cobalt blue panel. I stamped, colored and cut out a couple of butterflies from the ODBD Faith set and attached them on either side. A few tiny pink and fuchsia gems were added to the hyacinth. The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  • Hello

    Julie Warner - https://thewritestuff.justwritedesigns.com

Congrats to Nancy, the Featured Stamper on Splitcoast (FS319)! What a fabulous gallery! After much browsing, I chose her Inspired to Create to case. I kept the same layout, but turned it upright, used different images and different colors.

    Julie Warner - https://thewritestuff.justwritedesigns.com

The images are all from Our Daily Bread designs. I started by stamping the sentiment once w/ the pink ink then overstamping w/ the black ink. I didn’t try to get it exact..just eyeballed it. I like the light pink shadow it gives. After die cutting w/ a circle die, I backed it w/ a black die cut circle and a larger one with the crocheted background stamped in the pink ink. For the final layer, I stamped the crocheted circle the same way I did the sentiment, then die cut using the matching crocheted circle die.

On the side panel, I again stamped the crocheted bg in pink then trimmed the right edge w/ scissors. For the crocheted border, I did the same as the sentiment and die cut it w/ the matching border die. I added a bow made w/ two ribbons and a mini bowdabra, some black gems and then used the black enamel accents down the border and around the circle. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50.

Congrats again, Nancy! Enjoy your week!

  • ODBD 5th Anniversary Release Hop

    Weekly-Favorite
Hello everyone!  Welcome to the Our Daily Bread designs 5th Anniversary Release Hop!  Each year, Kelley allows each of her design team members to submit a Scripture Verse, a sentiment or a quote, and those submissions are made into the Anniversary sets.  Today’s hop will show most of those submissions, and we truly hope you love them as much as we do!

Since it mentions Rainbows, I used 4 colors of ink to stamp my sentiment and also the Elegant Oval image. I used a piece of designer paper and cut around the clouds at the top and bottom. The diagonal check patter on these corners is the reverse side of the paper I cut off. I liked it, so I turned it to this side and put it back. A few punched clouds and a rainbow of gems in graduated sizes were added after I attached everything to a coral layer. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50.

This is also for the Inspiration Challenge on Splitcoast today (IC380) and I chose this Flying Kites fabric.
