Today, I have a fun little birthday card featuring a pair of cute little toucans. These birds are part of a terrific tropical birds & greenery set & there are so many uses for these. The entire card is die cut & paper pieced. The only thing colored was the little party hats on the toucans.
For the Inspiration Challenge IC1020 we are visiting Aspen & Arlo gift wrap shop. I was inspired by THIS wrapping paper. I didn’t have puffins but I did have Toucans which are a cute stand-in.
To make my birthday card, I die cut two toucans & their parts & flipped one over. I ran the flipped one thru the embossing cycle to help flatten it before I paper pieced them together. The designer paper, a piece of white & a piece of butter yellow were die cut w/ a new set of frame dies. I used 2 different papers, the black confetti for the large panel, and a dotty piece for the piece behind the smallest white one. The present was cut was out of the reverse side of the dotty one. I used the Birthday Owl Add ons for the present. There is a party hat die but it was the wrong scale for the toucans, so I stamped & die cut the party hats from the Party Raccoon set. A pretty easy card to make, just arranging the die cuts & paper piecing the toucans. They are popped up one more layer.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
