Stained Glass Easter

Today’s Technique Challenge (TLC678) & Clean & Simple (CAS469) are both about backgrounds. The TLC wanted us to make a stained glass bg & I totally cheated on this one. I promise, if I have time, I’ll come back & do it right.  😉

I put the Stained Glass Oval image into my Misti then stamped the image w/ Memento desert sand. I knew I wanted to gold emboss it but since I also wanted to color it w/ Copics &  the two don’t play well together, so it was stamped first w/ an ink color that would allow me to see the lines but also disappear when embossed.

After coloring it, I over stamped it w/ gold pigment ink then heat embossed it w/ gold powder. I die cut a piece of lilac card stock &  a larger piece of sage green then cut the ovals out of the centers. The Happy Easter Cross was stamped, colored &  I cut around the top to let more of the stained glass show through then attached it behind the oval frames &  then on top of the stained glass background.

Here are the Copics I used.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. I like the stained glass stamp and how you put three colours into each tiny section. Beautiful Easter card.
