Today’s Color Challenge (CC581) on Splitcoast was a little challenging to me..I like the sky blue & green..even the wisteria..but that blackberry color is one I’m not that crazy about. And it’s hard to match. I did the best I could using Distress inks & just hoped for the best.
I sponged the Distress inks across a large white panel. Then I put the Medallion Bg into my Misti & applied the Memento inks to it and stamped on top of the sponged bg. In the sky blue & wisteria areas I applied ink again & restamped. After die cutting this panel w/ 2 sizes of Pierced Rectangles, I inserted a fancy white layer in between then attached them to my card. The greeting centerpiece was die cut w/ a Pierced Circle, layered onto a larger sponged blackberry layer & attached to a die cut piece of vellum. I used the same die to cut the white topper, but also used the inside die to cut out the middle & make a frame of it. I trimmed a couple of little corners from a Majestic Medallion die cut & added them below the greeting.Â
Here’s a look at the inside, using some left over strips & a butterfly.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
