Butterfly Wish

Butterfly Wish cu08700
A big congrats to Julie, the newest Featured Stamper (FS475) on Splitcoast! She has a gorgeous little gallery & after much browsing, I kept coming back to THIS card.  I kept the super color combo & layout, but I used different images, different dies & made my own bg instead of using designer paper.

To make my card, I put a piece of rich red card stock into my Misti, stamped the butterflies w/ Memento, used white & colorless blender Prismacolor pencils on the butterflies, added the bright white dots w/ a white gel pen, overstamped w/ Versafine, then repeated until I had a full bg. Just a note here…I wouldn’t try to skip a step & use the Versafine before blending w/ the Prismas…they will smear that ink like butter on hot toast!

The red & kraft layers have the lower edges rounded. I added the greeting, a die cut border & the layered stars to finish.

Here’s a look at the inside.
