Today’s Technique Challenge (TLC494) is all about embossed water color (it’s also a revisit of TLC168). Love water color and I thought these flower images and dies would be perfect for white embossing then water coloring.

Sending Flowers 04345
On water color paper, I white embossed the big Flower Pops Background then used water brushes and Peerless water colors to add the color. I started out trying to use the colors from the CAS285 Challenge, but I’m not sure I can get away with calling this clean & simple…though it wasn’t complicated. For the die cut flowers & leaves, I white embossed the line versions, then painted the water colors directly on the solid versions and stamped over. I attached these to a white panel w/ a die cut border on which I stamped the greeting. The large background was attached underneath.

Just for fun, here’s the inside. Since I don’t use designer paper that often, I often either stamp or use leftover die cuts and images to add to the inside. These were leftover strips from die cutting the border.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
