Snowflakes & Ice Skates

Julie Warner –
For the Ways to Use It Challenge (WT461), the theme is Let it Snow! So with that and the recent bone chilling temps lately, I have a big embossed snowflake and ice skates card.

My skating card is pretty easy. After stamping and coloring w/ Copics, I did do a little out of the box treatment on the top. The grey heather background was embossed and I used a white Permapaque marker to highlight the raised areas. A couple of cobalt blue layers and a little rhinestone, and my 4.25 x 5.50 card was finished. Only a handful of Copics were used and here are the colors:Julie Warner –
Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. Love that embossing folder – Great for winter cards. Love the addition of the skates!

  2. Really gorgeous creation Julie!! I love how you went over the embossed areas and your coloring is fabulous! 🙂 Why do you have colored tape over some of you Copic markers?

  3. LOL! No big mystery, Vicki! It’s still on a bunch of them from last year. I took some w/ me to Copic Certification classes and we were told to do this so they wouldn’t get mixed in with the class markers. Just haven’t gotten around to removing it all.

  4. Love it, Julie! Fantastic coloring and layout!
