Thanksgiving Turkey

The challenge on today’s Ways to Use It Challenge (WT401) on Splitcoast is birds. A turkey is a bird, right?? Well I’m going with it. Are y’all ready for Thanksgiving? So am I. NOT!! It seems really early this year. Not good for a perpetual procrastinator. Not naming names…just sayin’

The images are from DRS Designs. The turkey dinner was stamped, colored w/ Copic markers and cut out. I had this idea to just do a circle die cut, partly off the edge so I cut the circle out of the edge of the kraft and a  slightly smaller circle out of the turquoise layer. The sentiment was white embossed and I used a Tim Holtz clear ruler (it has the holes for piercing along one edge) to piece the holes and then I did the faux stitching w/ a white gel pen. I used a small circle die to cut the different color circles and attached a kraft strip on top and trimmed the tops of the circles. The finished card 5.50 x 4.25.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. Always thinking out of the box! Great idea with the turkey – and of course, the card is fabulous, love the colors and all your “trimmed” circles.
