Hello my friends! Welcome to the Our Daily Bread designs Nov. Release
Blog Hop! Â You might want to start at the ODBD Blog so you don’t miss anything!
For my card, I used the fabulous new Chickadee Ornament!
I also used the lovely O Christmas Tree Carol from last month’s release. the pine branch/pinecone from Sing for Joy and the sweet little Chickadee w/ matching die.
After stamping the ornament and chickadee, I die cut the ornament w/ a circle die and the backing gold layer w/ a larger circle. I used the matching die for the chickadee (such a fabulous time saver!) and added a little color w/ copics. The pine branches were fussy cut. Originally, I had a separate background using the music background, but it just didn’t work so instead I stamped it w/ gold ink directly on the white card front. I thought I still needed a little separation between the main images and background, so I die cut a pine green frame and added a little texture. I just happened to have the red ring (from another project) and it was the right size so I added it inside the frame edge. Instead of adding another layer, I sponged the gold ink around the edges of the card front. A little gold bow w/ some added pine branch cut outs on top finished my 4.25 x 5.50 card.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Oh my! I am torn between the cardinals and the chickadees if I can only buy one set. I was leaning towards the cardinals and now I see this, the way you’ve used the ornament stamp with my all-time favourite ODBD bird dressed up perfectly for Christmas. I love this!
Very pretty, love how you combined chickadee images on the card & made them pop!
Lovely card. I especially like how you popped out the bird. He stands out – very good focal point.
Love this idea and card – I have the chickadee die – can’t wait to try the ornament
Love your card. We have two (soon to be three) bird feeders in our back yard. We have a family of cardinals, doves, titmouses, and swallows, not chickadees though.
Wow, lots of layers, beautifully done,TFS!
Hi Julie~
This is so much more than stunning! I love how you used a combination of stamps to make this one card. I imagine it is too labor intensive to make this as your Christmas cards to mail out! I can see all of the work and creativity you put into this piece. The piece of music in gold is lovely…and I love the two different stamps with chick-a-dees…amazing!

Julie, I just plain get excited when I see your name and prepare to visit….you have not disappointed me. The oval behind the circle, the music, and that fab bow with the greenery embellishing it…..The chickadee on the branch and then the ornament – WOWZA woman, an all around GORGEOUS card.
