Stir Up Trouble

A fun Halloween card w/ a cute smiling cup, stenciled background & glittery goo border. Easy to make & easy to change the colors to go w/ your selection of Halloween paper.

For the Inspiration Challenge (IC927), we’re visiting Country Living Pinterest Board where I found THIS cute picture.

My little Halloween card is pretty easy. I colored the cute little smiling cup then die cut it w/ stitched circle die. I used my out of the box for the stir stick to keep from chopping it off. The designer paper strip & purple strip behind it were die cut using 2 sizes of slimline dies, since I wanted them narrower than normal rectangle dies. I used my resizing trick to make them shorter. For the top section, I used a fun jack-o’lantern face stencil & lost shadow oxide ink for that barely there look. The orange drippy goo die cut was draped across the top of the purple strip & I added stickles to it & a couple of areas on the cup.

The center circle was popped up a bit & I added an extra layer behind the top half of the circle to even it out w/ the added layers on the bottom.

Christmas Wishes

It’s my turn to host the Inspiration Challenge (IC922) & I chose 1st Dibs & their Pinterest Board where I found THIS beautiful lamp.

For my Christmas card, I die cut the lt aqua & printed panels, then backed the printed w/ a narrow layer of darker aqua. The poinsettia is a combo of 2 different poinsettia dies cut out of lt aqua, dk aqua, red & silver glitter papers. I popped each flower layer up just a tad & added silver stickles to the center. I used just the Christmas word of the longer greeting & finished it w/ the Wishes w/ shadow die cut.

The popped up layers of the poinsettia are a little easier to see below.

Snowflake Joy

An A2 sized Christmas card made using one of a mini slimline set of dies. Add some lovely paper, some die cut snowflakes & Joy on a fancy oval & you have a beautiful card!

A big congrats to Jennifer, the newest Featured Stamper (FS860)! She’s a scrapper w/ a lot of beautiful pages. After much browsing, I chose THIS page to case. I kept the Christmas theme & most of the layout, but changed it to an A2 card, used different paper & dies & simplified it to fit the space.

For my card, I used a mini slimline die to cut the lovely holly paper and also the wine red piece. On the red, I stamped some holly berries w/ Brilliance moonlight white ink. I used this ink because it dries faster than my pigment ink & it’s also not quite as bright. I really didn’t want the berries to stand out that much. A leftover diagonal strip along w/ 2 white glitter strips were added in between the red & the holly paper. A fancy oval die was used on the sea green & I fussy cut a red layer to go behind it. The Joy was die cut out of white glitter paper as were the 3 snowflakes.

The Joy was popped up as were the snowflakes to give them a little dimension.
