For my card, I stamped the Bunny Tails image twice, colored one w/ Tombow markers and die cut it w/ a Spellbinders labels 21. I cut out parts of the second image and popped them up on top of the base image to add a little dimension. On the bunny tail, I added a little white puffy paint.

The greeting was die cut and I attached on top of a cut out flower stem. The grass border was stamped and colored on the larger layer and I used a black pen and ruler to draw the 3 sided frame. The finished card is 5 x 5.

And here are the markers I used and my notebook.

  • Pink Cat

    Julie Warner - justwritedesigns - https://thewritestuff.justwritedesigns.com

For my card, I turned the sketch on its side to better fit the images. I used parts of the super cute Meow Collage. I used a DTP (direct to paper) technique with chalk inks on white card stock. The images were stamped on top of this background. The cat was stamped again on white and I paper pieced the cut out cat and stripes onto the white image. I also added some paper pieced eyes I colored green onto to the pink version cat. The kitty stripes, nose & ears were colored with a white gel pen.

For the yarn balls, I masked the first stamping and stamped it again.  On top of the panel behind it, I stamped the Triangle Stripes across it. The Posy and Posy Greeting Center were stamped and cut out and I added some pink sorbet twine behind it. The large background was also done DTP and I used a large corner rounder on the corners. The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25.

And here’s a look at my note book.

  • Skating Away

Best of 2011 Happy Friday before Christmas!
Are you ready? I always plan to be ready ahead of time. Best laid plans, right! Like this happy little fellow, my best plans are skating away, but at least the happy thought is there!
For my skating scene, everything except the cut out and added penguin was done on the one layer. I started by stamping the tree line then masking the snow and sponging the sky. There’s just something about a pink winter sky that I really like so I tend to use this color for winter skies. I flipped the mask to cover the sky and sponged in some snow w/ a lt blue ink. All except the pond. I penciled in where I wanted it and left it white. A little shading was added around the trees w/ markers.

After I determined where my skater would go, I stamped him again on the plastic sheet of my SAMJ (stamp-a-ma-jig), lined up the foot under where his right foot is, masked the edge of the pond, and stamped the reflection using the image on the SAMJ sheet as the stamp. It’s really harder to describe than it is to do. It’s just a simple reflection technique. After that, I covered the pond using a VersaMark pen and embossed w/ clear powder twice. Then I added a few scribbles w/ a white Permapaque marker and embossed w/ another coat of clear ep. We used to call this super embossing. It really makes it look like an icy pond.
