On the Inspiration Challenge (IC431) on Splitcoast, Audrie has some awesome rainy day images to choose from and I love several of them. For my card, I chose THIS picture with the cute frog and his umbrella. I didn’t add any rain drops, but I did give my cute frog a little umbrella.

So they say it rains a lot in the Pacific Northwet and it’s been so cold everywhere else, so my little froggie brought these lovely flowers to cheer us up. And all the green gives up hope that spring will be here soon. After stamping the frog, I colored him w/ Copics then used the splatter image and the lipstick ink underneath him. I also used a pink Copic to add more shading around him on the ground. The umbrella was stamped, colored and the handle part was done separately and added. I just thought it needed something and the umbrella fit the bill. The greeting was die cut as well as the flower & grass border. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50 and these are the Copics I used.

  • Stinky Sweet

A big congrats to Lols, the newest Featured Stamper this week on Splitcoast (FS367)! Such a fun gallery she has and I chose THIS  card to case. I loved the cute little skunk image and clouds so I kept those and used similar colors, but I used different images, a different layout and added a frame around my image.

After stamping the little stinker, I colored him with Copics and die cut a frame around him. Added a couple of little clouds, a big flower and stamped the greeting on the edge of the frame. The wall looking piece was a leftover that had been embossed and colored w/ lt gray & black markers. I just thought it was a good contrast with the framed image. The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25 and these are the Copics I used.

  • Nurse Teddy Bear

For today’s Ways to Use It Challenge
(WT466), we are to use RED, for Valentine’s Day & for Women’s Heart Disease Awareness Month. So I thought a little nurse/teddy bear would fit in. The card itself is really simple…the little nurse hat took a bit of folding and something that small, well, let’s just say it was frustrating, lol. And if it weren’t for the red stripe, it might look like a sailor hat. Oh well. The dk red piece was a leftover and the only reason there is a circle cut out is because apparently I needed one at some earlier time. Eventually everything  gets used around here.

Little Boo Boo Bear was colored and fussy cut and the greeting was stamped on another leftover, just the right size. A couple of bandages were added on the corners. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50 and these are the Copics I used.
