For my first card, I used this sweet Happy Spring set. Aren’t these little ducklings adorable? You can almost feel how soft and fuzzy they are! After stamping & coloring, I used my out of the box technique and die cut with a square. I left the die in place and sponged a little yellow ink inside the corners. The leaf sprigs were die cut using an ODBD Fancy Foliage die and I used the tag die from the ODBD Recipe & tag dies for the greeting. The background was stamped with just the orange & yellow colors of a rainbow pad using the ODBD Vintage Mini 1 image and a left over corner of the ODBD Daisy Chain die was added on the right. The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25 and these are the Copics I used.Julie Warner - https://thewritestuff.justwritedesigns.com

On my second card, I used the wonderful Easter Basket set. Isn’t it pretty? After coloring, I die cut a rectangle frame out of white textured card stock and added the greeting on the frame. I didn’t have any paper to go with it, so I made a background using a spritzer & several Easter colors of Copic markers. After spritzing, I used a small paintbrush dipped in Copic blender solution to splatter it creating the Easter egg colored background you see here.

On the Inspiration Challenge (IC431) on Splitcoast, Audrie has some awesome rainy day images to choose from and I love several of them. For my card, I chose THIS picture with the cute frog and his umbrella. I didn’t add any rain drops, but I did give my cute frog a little umbrella.

So they say it rains a lot in the Pacific Northwet and it’s been so cold everywhere else, so my little froggie brought these lovely flowers to cheer us up. And all the green gives up hope that spring will be here soon. After stamping the frog, I colored him w/ Copics then used the splatter image and the lipstick ink underneath him. I also used a pink Copic to add more shading around him on the ground. The umbrella was stamped, colored and the handle part was done separately and added. I just thought it needed something and the umbrella fit the bill. The greeting was die cut as well as the flower & grass border. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50 and these are the Copics I used.

  • Stinky Sweet

    Julie Warner – https://thewritestuff.justwritedesigns.com
A big congrats to Lols, the newest Featured Stamper this week on Splitcoast (FS367)! Such a fun gallery she has and I chose THIS  card to case. I loved the cute little skunk image and clouds so I kept those and used similar colors, but I used different images, a different layout and added a frame around my image.

After stamping the little stinker, I colored him with Copics and die cut a frame around him. Added a couple of little clouds, a big flower and stamped the greeting on the edge of the frame. The wall looking piece was a leftover that had been embossed and colored w/ lt gray & black markers. I just thought it was a good contrast with the framed image. The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25 and these are the Copics I used.
