A super cute Christmas kitty & coffee card using some bright colors & cheerful paper. Perfect card for a friend w/ cats or who loves their coffee.

A big congrats to Dawn, the newest Featured Stamper (FS879)! She has a wonderful little gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I kept the angled layout & coffee theme, but used different images & dies, different colors & made mine a Christmas card.

After coloring & die cutting the kitty, coffee cups & Christmas tree cupcake, I die cut a lg white panel then used a scallop frame die to cut the bottom off at an angle. I added a piece of colorful Christmas paper on the bottom section. I wanted a little more of the red scallop frame (the same die I used for the angled edge) to show a bit more, so I used a small corner rounder on all the corners. In case you didn’t know about this, here’s a little tip for coloring in small dots like on my cupcake & the coffee cups. When those dots are little & in a sea of the opposite color, it can be hard to keep that color from bleeding into those little dots. I figured out that if I color in the little dots first, then go over them w/ a clear Glaze pen (Sakura), it helps keep the larger colored area from seeping into those dots.

The kitty & cups were popped up a bit for a little dimension. Here are the Copics I used:

  • Feeling Mushy

A fun card with a mushroom & frog friend in front of a cute gnome cottage, Use for a birthday, just a note or feel better occasion. Easy to make & choose your own colors to switch it up.

A big congrats to Laura, the newest Featured Stamper (FS875)! She has a wonderful gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I liked the layout, so I kept that, but I used different images, different colors & different dies.

After coloring & cutting out my little mushroom & frog friends, I colored the gnome cottage & did a little out of the box on the elements on top of the gnome cottage, then inserted a rust colored oval frame on top. The greeting was stamped along w/ some extra toadstools along the bottom. The mushroom & frog were popped up a bit on top.

Here are the Copics I used for the Mushroom/Frog:

The cottage was colored separately & here are the Copics I used for it:

  • All is Calm

A monochromatic winter scene Christmas card, all stamped on one layer and parts of the scene were cut into the window and a piece of hand marbled paper inserted inside, with the greeting & a Christmas star stamped on top.

For the Inspiration Challenge (IC936), we are visiting the Christmas Shop & their Pinterest Board where I chose THIS picture for my inspiration.

For my little winter scene, I stamped the trees onto a white panel, using denim ink. On the lighter trees, I stamped the image off once before stamping it onto the card stock. The darker trees were stamped twice (using the Misti) w/ the same ink, full strength. I wanted the deer a little darker so I used Versaclair medieval blue. I used my into the window die cutting technique to cut the opening in the scene. The framed scene part was spritzed w/ some white shimmer spray & I added a little more “snow” w/ a white Posca pen. The outside frame was popped up then I inserted a piece of hand marbled paper w/ the greeting & Christmas star stamped on top of it.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
