For my long, tall red door, I colored it w/ markers and a water brush then used a Spellbinders square die and resized it to fit around my door. Since it’s not a standard or long rectangle size, this was the only way I could work it. I added a narrow dk red mat and some stickles on the pine boughs and wreath. The sentiment was stamped twice and I die cut them w/ a Ribbon Tag Trio 3, but turned and cut them in opposite directions. I used the one w/ the top curve above the door and the bottom curve below the door. The three little dots were leftovers after I used the Banners 2 for the trim and tassels. The scallop edge at the bottom is also a leftover from the same cutting. The finished card measures 4.25 x 9 and will fit nicely in a #10 business size envelope. The hardest part of this card was finding a layout for this long, tall card that would work w/ this dp! I only had this dp in a 6×6 pad so nothing was long enough. So this was my attempt to get the much shorter paper to fit a longer card! I think the little border strips really helped it out.

Welcome to the Sparkle N Sprinkle “Sparkling Wintry Sensations” blog hop!

For my sparkling wintry card, I created a sheet of faux postage stamps using the pine forest image and a small, rectangular cut out (or reverse mask). I inked the forest w/ several colors of green pigment inks then stamped it inside the mask. I just moved the mask and repeated 5 more times. The wording and numbers were inked w/ a dk pink marker and stamped on top to complete the “stamp” look. I used a perforating blade in between the stamps and cut the outside w/ postage stamp scissors.

The sentiment was die cut and attached to a fancy tag die cut. (Cutting this die is super easy w/ the Grand Calibur!) The reindeer was inked w/ the pink pigment inks, stamped an cut out. I used a glue pen and Sparkling Snow glitter on the reindeer and to add snowflakes to my postage stamps. I used the Mauvelous glitter on the fancy tag and reindeer antlers. The peony colored layer behind the postage was die cut using a scallop border die. The finished card measures 4.25 x 5.5.

I’m using the smaller of the two beautiful ornament images on the new Ornaments set. You’ll notice that these ornaments fit perfectly inside the Spellbinders Heirloom Ornament dies! That’s because Spellbinders chose ODBD as a Preferred Stamp Partner!  What does that mean? ODBD will be expanding their lines to include perfect match sentiments, Scriptures and images to Spellbinders dies. Pretty exciting!

My ornament was gold embossed three times on vanilla card stock in order to layer the center of the ornament.  It was colored with markers and a water brush, the base ornament was die cut with the Spellbinders die and the other two centers were layered on top. The dk green/gold dot dp was cut with a Labels 10 die and all layers were edged with a gold leafing pen. The sentiment was also gold embossed and hand cut. A sheer ivory bow was added on top of the ornament. The finished card measures 4.25 x 5.50.
