This post is a little late…it was supposed to go up on Tues, May 1, but I just forgot ūüôā I made it for the Splitcoast Color Challenge (CC685). The colors were pink, black & white. Perfect for this Graduation Pig!

After I stamped, colored & fussy cut the grad pig, I stamped the Graduation Bg leaving a blank space toward the top for the greeting. I had the black frame lying around so on it went along w/ a few sequins.

Here’s a look at the inside and below it are the Copics I used.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Stamps:¬†DRS Designs ‚ÄďGraduating Pig,¬†Graduation Bg¬†,¬†Adventure Begin¬†(inside–¬†Congratulations Graduation)
Paper: Staples 110# white, black
Ink: Memento tuxedo black, (angel pink also used on the inside)
Accessories: Copics markers, Misti, Lil’ Inker stitched rectangles dies, Spellbinders A2 matting basics B, square dies, sequins

For the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC645),¬†Angie chose Cuddle + Kind. A really cute place w/ a big heart. I chose THIS as my inspiration because I knew I had a similar greeting. I didn’t have a similar cute reindeer that I could use so I used a pig w/ a big grin.¬†

Normally, this pig image has a party hat along w/ a balloon but since I fussy cut him, I cut off the party hat. The small balloon was stamped again w/ lt blue ink, colored & fussy cut. All the other balloons were made by die cutting 2 sizes of balloons in a piece of copy paper & using the negative as a stencil. After I sponged the Distress inks thru the stencil I added some Wink of Stella to some of them. The greeting was stamped at the bottom & I used Copics to make the shadow underneath. A few grad caps & some drawn balloon strings & I was done!

It’s my turn to host the FS Challenge¬†so a¬†big congrats to Virginia, the newest Featured Stamper (FS481) on Splitcoast! Wow! She has one awesome gallery & there are many I wanted to case, but I really liked THIS one in particular. I loved the gold embossing on vellum and the flowers so I kept those, but I used different images, added a die cut for half of the greeting & a gold striped washi tape border.

For my card, I gold embossed the flowers & half of the greeting on a piece of vellum I die cut using a pierced rectangle die. I colored it first on the backside w/ Copics, but I couldn’t quite get it dark enough, so I carefully added more color to front side, trying to stay away from the gold embossing. I attached to a same size piece of white card stock & added the Wishing word die cut out of gold mirror board.

On the larger white layer, after die cutting it, I attached strips of gold foil stripe washi tape. When I got the corners, I used scissors to mitre the corners. A few gold embossed, colored & fussy cut  blossoms were added here & there.

Here’s a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.
