To make my clean & simple St. Patrick’s Day card, I die cut all the pieces and parts out of a water color background I had in my stash. It was a largish leftover from something else, made w/ yellows & greens Brushos crystals. The colors were perfect for a St. Patrick’s Day card & the little bird was die cut out of an area where the greens faded into white. I liked the way it made him look more like a real bird w/ varied coloring. (The shamrock in his hat is part of the Little Critters die set.) The Lucky die was cut once out of the w/c bg & once out of a lime green I used underneath for a bit of a shadow. For the embossed edges, I used a scallop ribbons folder then cut away only one part to use as the edges on either side. The shamrock balloons were added w/ some Baker’s twine strings.
Here’s a look at the inside.
Please be sure to comment on all the DT Blogs..it will be so appreciated & also increase your chances of winning!

Well…I realize St. Paddy’s Day was last week, but the Clean & Simple (CAS369) is basically, well…St. Patrick’s Day. Go figure! So here I am w/ one last card. Since green (any shade) is my favorite color, I always like this holiday & I guess I’ll have one ready for next year.
To make my easy card, I white embossed the polka dot bg on the green & die cut it. On the white layer, I die cut a large shamrock & used the negative space instead. The greeting & a few shamrocks were stamped & I sprinkled a few sequins to finish.
Here’s a look at the inside.

The Technique Challenge (TLC572) on Splitcoast today involves a pleated skirt made of paper. The instructions were not hard, I just made it harder on myself because of orientation of my image..so I had to reverse the side of the pleat & make is shorter to fit.
After I stamped, colored & die cut Paddy Bear, I colored a narrow cut off piece w/ the same green Copics & added it to the upper right. I used a piece of the marigold c/s to make my pleated skirt. It’s attached to a piece of white on the reverse side & I stamped it w/ little shamrocks using the marigold ink. I also used a dot embossing folder & curved border die to cut most of the lower edge. The two ribbons were also colored to match & attached on top of the pleated skirt. A little Wink of Stella was added to all the shamrocks.
These are the Copics I used to color everything.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
