Haiku Easter Bunny cu 08724
Today’s Sketch Challenge (SC584) & yesterday’s Color Challenge (CC574) both seemed easy but turned out not to be so for me. I’m still undecided about this card, but it is what it is.

I used an old stamp from Hero Arts I know had been retired by them a long while ago, but I found Peddler’s Pack is apparently selling I guess you learn something every day. After stamping this cute bunny on the kraft w/ Memento, I used Prismacolor pencils to color him then over stamped w/ Versafine. I did the same for the Chinese coin & used a circle punch on it. The Easter letters were die cut once out of the kraft & once out of white, then stacked offset. After cutting off the requisite corner for the sketch, I added the dots w/ a border embossing folder. The largest layer really is a close clone of sahara sand, even though it looks about the same as the kraft in this pic. Oh well!

Here are the pencil colors I used. If you can’t read them, they are:
Blender, White, Pale Vermillion, Salmon Pink, Lt. Peach, Peach, Ginger Root, Beige, French Gray 50%, French Gray 70%.

I’ve had the Brushos water color bg (& a couple more) finished ever since I signed up for Lydia’s challenge, but then I was stumped about what to do with it. I’m not entirely sure I did the bg right, but it is what it is, lol. I guess it’s my interpretation of the water color galaxy tech (had to google it!).

Lots of ideas came to mind, but this is nothing like what I first envisioned. I couldn’t find a moon image like I wanted, so I drew one, colored it w/ Copics then stamped a few images on top w/ the cantaloupe ink and cut it out. I typed the quote, printed it then used a star die to cut it.

The bg was stamped around the edges w/ one of my oldest & best loved stamps…Starry Night by ANM, & white embossed. After a few die cut layers, I added my star & moon & some little stars & crystals. While not what I started to make, it’s growing on me 🙂 These are the Copics I used to color the moon.

Time again for the Divine Divas Inspiration Challenge! Today we have a cute image from Better Homes & Gardens. They have some really cute ideas over at BH&G. These little gift containers they made are such a great idea.

For my project, I decided to do something I rarely do: make a 3D object. Since the inspiration was containers for gifts, I decided to do the same. It also gave me a good excuse to play with my new Cricut! This little bag was an item included on one of the cartridges so it made my project really easy.

After I cut the bag, I cut two pieces of white card stock to fit the front and back. I stamped various Valentines phrases with red and pink inks then sponged some of the inks around the edges and rounded the top corners. A paper crimper was used on the pink band and a border punch on the red band below it.

The two sentiment tags were cut with the Cricut and I used a Bow Easy on the bow (this is only way I can tie a decent bow, lol).  I think this will make a sweet little gift bag for someone special! Finished bag is 5 inches tall, 4 inches wide and 1 3/8 inches deep.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Please be sure and visit the rest of the team to see what sweet treats they have for you to see. We’d love for you to join in on our challenge and if you upload to SCS, please put DDIC in your keywords.
