A big Congrats to Joyce Ann, the newest Featured Stamper (FS523) on Splitcoast! She has such a big, beautiful gallery & a lot of scrapbook pages! I chose THIS to case. I kept the sort of vintage humor theme & the layout but changed most everything else. Different images, different colors & different papers. I’m also adding this to the Ways to Use It Challenge (WT622), Spunky Old Broads because this trio of beach babes certainly qualify!

I stamped, colored then overstamped the babes on an already die cut white panel. After adding narrow black & turquoise layers, I found some paper that had glasses on it so I used it down the left. The greeting was tucked underneath the image panel & some die cut glasses were colored and added in the corner. This greeting just makes me chuckle…I can just hear the other two women agreeing w/ her..” know it, sweetie!”

Here are the Copics I used.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

I always get a big kick out these Art Impressions people & I just had to have the Beach Babes set & this greeting cracks me up every time I see it. My boss babe was put into my Misti, stamped w/ Memento, colored w/ Copics & over stamped w/ Versafine. I did the same to the umbrella & I shaped it a bit before attaching it on top.

I used some curved matting basics for the large white layer & a curved square die to cut out the center. For the boss babe inset, I used a square die then rounded the corners to match the cut out. Since there isn’t a next smaller size of curved square, I did it this way so there wouldn’t be a huge gap between the two. A little stickles was added to her ring & the ice in the glass & Wink of Stella added to her sunglasses & bracelet.

Here are the Copics I used.

Great Technique Lover’s Challenge today at SCS! I love the bandana technique and it’s been a while since I’ve done it. Bandanas usually make me think of cowboys so I went w/ the traditional red.

On white c/s, I masked off the areas around where my cowboy silhouette stamp (Magenta) would be and sponged on the colors, starting w/ the lightest first. Then I used the stamp-a-ma-jig to position my silhouette and stamped it w/ black ink. It’s attached to a white piece w/ the lower border punched.

The greeting (Art Impressions), Rep. of TX circle (Deadbeat Deisgns) and cowboy post (Inkadinkado) were stamped on white and color sponged on. The two were cut out w/ the postage scissors.

My bandana bg was first stamped w/ a paisley square (Stampendous) and the cardinal ink. Then the paisley border and little flowers (Fiskar’s) and the small paisley (SU) were stamped w/ black ink. Dots were added w/ a white gel pen.

Stamps: Magenta, Art Impressions, Inkadinkado, Deadbeat Designs, SU, Fiskar’s , Stampendous
Paper: white, real red
Ink: AP coal, lemon peel, sunburst, mandarin, coral red, cardinal
Accessories: foam tape, MS fence punch, whtie gel pen, postage stamp scissors, stamp-a-ma-jig
