For the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC645), Angie chose Cuddle + Kind. A really cute place w/ a big heart. I chose THIS as my inspiration because I knew I had a similar greeting. I didn’t have a similar cute reindeer that I could use so I used a pig w/ a big grin.

Normally, this pig image has a party hat along w/ a balloon but since I fussy cut him, I cut off the party hat. The small balloon was stamped again w/ lt blue ink, colored & fussy cut. All the other balloons were made by die cutting 2 sizes of balloons in a piece of copy paper & using the negative as a stencil. After I sponged the Distress inks thru the stencil I added some Wink of Stella to some of them. The greeting was stamped at the bottom & I used Copics to make the shadow underneath. A few grad caps & some drawn balloon strings & I was done!

Here’s a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

For the Inspiration site (IC643) on Splitcoast, Anne chose Signals. I spent quite a bit of time browsing, but kept coming back to THIS. I just love the colors & cute little piggies.
To make my little piggies card, I stamped little Miss Piggy on the right & then used the mirror image technique to stamp Mr. Piggy. After coloring, I fussy cut both & made little checked outfits for both. For the background, I put the Checkerboard Bg into my Misti & stamped the bottom 2 or 3 times to get it really dark, then moved the c/s & stamped the middle section a little lighter & the top section was stamped w/o reinking. The greeting was rearranged a bit to fit between the piggy pair.

…went to a Party! In fact, all 5 little piggies went to the party! Today’s Clean & Simple (CAS420) Challenge asks up to use some string or an image w/ a string. Every little piggy has a balloon w/ a string, so there you go.

My easy card is pretty self explanatory 🙂 Party Hat Pig was die cut w/ an oval & all his little piggy friends were stamped, masking as I went & their balloons are from a little balloon punch. The balloons were punched out of white & I colored them & drew the little strings w/ a fine black pen. I will mention a little trick I use when I need more than one mask of an image. Stamp the image several (or more) times onto your thin paper. Hold them up to the light to line them up, then cut them out all at once. When they’re stacked like this, you only have to cut one to have multiple masks. I also save them in a baggy for future use.

Here are the Copics I used. Whoda thunk it took so many?

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!
