Freedom Bell 04043
For today’s Free for All Challenge (F4A279), we are to make a card for July 4th. Mine is pretty quick & easy..after stamping, coloring and fussy cutting the Liberty Bell & USA letters, I added the letters to die cut red, white & blue banners. The white bg was die cut & embossed w/ a stripe pattern and the greeting was die cut & added to a larger die cut circle w/ the ring of stars on it. The finished card is 4.25 5.50 and these are the Copics I used.

US Navy cu 06600
Today’s CAS Challenge (clean & simple) CAS330, has us using stars &/or stripes. I used both plus anchors for my Patriotic Military card.

And this really was quick & easy because almost all of it was made using die cuts I already had sitting around.  I only stamped 3 images, colored 2 and fussy cut the anchor. The little square frame w/ the pierced circle was already there along w/ the little red ring so I added a smaller die cut circle w/ the US Navy emblem stamped in denim. The anchor & USA were lightly colored & added to a bg I embossed w/ a small anchor pattern. The inside has the rest of the USA greeting & says “Home of the Free Thanks to Our Brave”.  The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50 and these are the Copics I used (not many).

Heart the Fourth 04003

Happy 4th of July!
Today’s Mix challenge (MIX75) on Splitcoast is to have a repeating item, or a parade of items. Gotcha covered! A row of pennants, a background of stars and a heart full of stars & stripes. And since it’s a MIX challenge, I have distress inks, embossing, embossing resist and some sequins thrown in.

For my patriotic card, I white embossed both of the stars & stripes hearts, and used distress inks to sponge  over the embossing, then die cut them. The red star was a leftover I cut on my Cricut. The patriotic pennants were die cut and w/ the die still in place, I stamped the stars & stripes pennants. The stamps are clear, so it’s easy to see where to stamp. The large pennant in the corner was also die cut. I used the A2 matting basics dies to cut the frame. The star bg inside the frame was made using the stormy sky ink & embossing folder stamping

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great 4th of July weekend!
