     NCC Sending FLowers 06616
For my first card, I’m using the beautiful Floral Sentiments 8 set. After coloring it with Copics, I die cut it with a large circle & the reddish print circle with the Matting Circles dies. The largest green print was die cut using the outer die of the Doily die set. The large reddish layer was die cut w/ the Flourished Star Pattern die. The white layer was die cut & to add a little texture, I left it in the die, spritzed it w/ water then laid a piece of cross stitch canvas on top and used it as an embossing plate. For the cute little bow, here’s a link to make one using an envelope punch board..it’s just pictures BOW.These are the Copics I used.

    Supplies:

Stamps:  North Coast Creations – Floral Sentiments 8
Paper:  X-Press It white, Neenah white,  dp (SEI -Sunny Day)
    Ink:  Memento tuxedo black
Accessories: ODBD Flourished Star Pattern, Matting Circles, Doily, Mini Tags dies, Spellbinders A2 matting basics A & circle dies, Copic markers, twine, Envelope punch board, cross stitch canvas mesh

My next card uses the lovely Floral Sentiments 7. Instead of bright colors, I decided to keep this one neutral to go with the lovely Vintage Ephemera paper collection. This wasn’t easy for me, lol. I love vibrant colors!
    NCC Sepia Flowers cu 06605
I went a little over the top with the die cuts and flowers, but when using this many neutral colors, more texture gives it more interest. The layers, border, top scrolls, butterflies & flowers were all die cut out of different pieces of the same paper collection. To add a little sparkle, I put some stickles in the center of the die cut flowers and also on the flowers of the image.

A big congrats to Caryn, the newest Featured Stamper (FS435) on Splitcoast! She has beautiful, growing gallery and I chose THIS card to case. I kept the layout & flowers theme, but I used different images, different colors & die cut flowers & a punched vase.
    Flower Vase 06555
    I
nstead of stamping the gray stripes like Caryn did, I brayered some strips with soft gray shadow ink then stamped the lines image (from the Retro Cling set) on top w/ weathered wood ink then attached them to my white panel & die cut it. Instead of an image of a vase of flowers, I punched a large vase, used a tiny sunburst punch on the side and stamped the starburst with worn lipstick & squeezed lemonade. I used the lipstick, lemonade, marigold, persimmon & honey inks to stamp the solid flowers by tapping all of the colors onto the images then lightly spritzing before stamping. The outline flowers were lined up & stamped on top then I used the matching dies to cut them out. The green inks were used for the leaves. I added 2 colors & 3 sizes of enamel dots to finish.

Here’s a look at the inside.

Congrats again, Caryn! Thanks so much for stopping by!

    Weekly-Favorite
A big congrats to Brenda the newest Featured Stamper!  I chose THIS card of hers to case. I kept the pocket w/ insert & birthday theme, but I used different images, different colors & I left off the cute kitty in her picture.

Welcome to the May Challenge for Serendipity Stamps! This month the challenge is My Girl (feminine card)! The Design Team has the added challenge of making either a pocket, special fold card or a gift box. You can get all the details over on the Serendipity Challenge Blog.  We have something new…a “Stamp of the Month”. Each month a different image will be 50% off. This month- it’s the Aprons. Be sure to check out the great deals on the Clearance Stamps, too. And as always, we have a  have a gift certificate up for grabs to a random player.
    Celebrate Pocket 06374
For my project, I made a crossover pocket card. It’s actually only a pocket, as it doesn’t open, with an insert for the greeting. I had this green dp with flowers & glittered centers and I thought it would work well for the front of the pocket. I added a mottled orange dp and borders of the die cut Daisy Border. I used a portion of the Daisy Garden die for the faux belt across the front and added a glitter die cut buckle to finish the belt.
    Celebrate Pocket apart 06379
For the insert, I used a white panel I had die cut and cut the top off in order to add the Celebrate die cut on top. It was die cut once out of polka dot orange dp and 3 times out of heavy white. I attached the orange to one of the white cuts, stacked the other 2 white cuts together and glued them with the top of the insert in between. The cute little Daisy is new and I stamped, colored & fussy cut it. After attaching it, I stamped the Special Day greeting over it and the big Happy Birthday below it. A couple of orange die cut corners to the lower edge. These are the Copics I used on the flower.
    Celebrate Pocket copics 06371
If you’d like the instructions for the pocket, here are the measurements. (Click any pictures to make them larger.) After I cut the green flower print dp, I also cut an orange layer the same size then trimmed them both down to layer on the white card. Another orange piece of dp was added to the inside of the pocket & after these were attached, I added a strip of double sided tape across the lower edge & down the inside of the top right side of the pocket to permanently close it. The insert simply slips inside the pocket.
