    Love You cu 09432
    6-16 Blog Hop Badge copy
Welcome to the June Blog Hop for Serendipity Stamps! If you arrived here from Jenny’s Blog, you are in the right place..if not, you may want to head over there first.Love You 09431
My first card features the super cute little Heart Bouquet. I found a small piece of water color background in my stash & the colors seemed perfect for it. I stamped it w/ Versafine off to the side & used a white gel pen in just a few small areas. A die cut white linen frame was attached on top of it w/ the Love You stamped at the bottom & one small, fussy cut heart at the top. For the larger linen layer, I stamped the Sun Garden image across the bottom & left it uncolored. I drew the very narrow frame around it w/ a ruler & black Micron pen. A couple of narrow black layers were attached under the 2 white linen layers.

    Supplies:

Stamps: Serendipity Stamps – Heart Bouquet, Sun Garden, Love You Sm.
Paper: water color, Staples #110 white, Neenah white linen, black
    Ink:  Versafine onyx
Accessories: , Spellbinders A2 matting basics A & B dies,  pierced rectangles, MISTI, Brushos water color crystals, white gel pen, black micron pen

    Silver Hearts cu IMG0338
As I started my second card, I realized I did not have any wedding or anniversary images or greetings 😯  So I used mostly die cuts out of silver mirror board to go w/ the silver & kraft colored paper I had.  The Special Day greeting was silver heat embossed on a piece of plain craft & inserted under the large Congratulations die cut.

    Silver Hearts 09427
The two little hearts beneath the greeting were from the Love die,  which I ended up not using here. I love the look of the mirror board die cuts, but it is so hard to photograph!

    Supplies:

Stamps: Serendipity Stamps – Everyday Words Small
Paper: Staples #110 white, silver mirror board, kraft, dp (Recollections – Vintage Glam)
Ink:  Encore Ulitmate metallic silver pigment
Accessories:  Serendipity Mini Heart Scroll, Heart Solid, Heart Scroll, Congratulations, Love dies, Spellbinders A2 matting basics A, petite ovals, petite scallop ovals  dies,  pierced rectangles, MISTI, silver embossing powder

I made this for the Sketch Challenge (SC591) on Splitcoast today. Honestly, this is the sketch..but a few things went a little sideways  🙄
    NCC Tweet 09135
The birdies & branches were stamped, colored w/ Copics, over stamped w/ Versafine & die cut. The watercolor panel was one I made a while back & decided to use. Then in order to see a bit of it, I die cut the top white linen panel w/ a curved die & separated it..so I’m using this & the big branch as my horizontal element. I added the second birdie because..well..that’s a lot of empty white space & it still makes me a bit nervous. I had them all finished, anyway.

Here’s a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.

The idea for my card came from a painting I saw somewhere. I don’t know who painted it or if they used oil, acrylic or water color, but I loved all the vibrant color & that stuck with me. My background is done w/ Brushos water color crystals on water color paper. I did a few washes but since the water colors are powder/crystal form, I wet the areas first, sprinkled a little of the color I wanted (the first was the turquoise), then worked them a bit w/ the paint brush. In most cases, I let the previous color dry before I moved to the next color. Toward the end, I added some almost dry brush strokes in some areas & I helped the yellow drip on down the page. Since it really made no sense to have a detailed image, I put the tandem bicycle in my Misti, stamped it few times (to get good coverage, since the paper has texture) w/ Versafine then used a black Tombow marker (water based) to fill it in and make a silhouette out of it. A white gelly roll pen was used to add the highlights on the bike. It was then die cut a couple of times w/ a white layer inserted in between & the greeting added on top.

Here’s the inside…I kept it pretty simple.

For the Serendipity Monthly Challenge…Anything Goes, I made a birthday card with the cute little Bird Bath image.
    Birdbath Birthday cu 08506
    Weekly-Favorite
I already had the front piece w/ the stitched circle cut out so I stamped the little bird bath on a separate piece, colored it, masked it, then sponged the yellow from the top & blue from the bottom. After removing the mask, I over stamped it w/ Versafine (it was still in my Misti) then placed the frame around it.
    Birdbath Birthday 08507
For the extra little birds, I had to do a mirror image by stamping it onto acrylic then stamping the acrylic to the paper. After I colored them, I went over the left facing one w/ a Micron pen to sharpen the lines then I fussy cut them both. I added the die cut & sponged Birthday and left the lower section of it in place. 2 of the clouds I added are from the Hot Air Balloon die & the large one is another die cut.

Here are the Copics I used & below it is the inside. Again, it’s on the simple side, but when you don’t use designer paper, you don’t have any left to work with, lol.
