A big congrats to Pat, the newest Featured Stamper (FS744) on Splitcoast! She has a lovely gallery & there were many I wanted to pick, but I went w/ THIS card for my case. I kept the CAS layout & split die cut, but used different stamps & dies & used a colorful panel & narrow frames behind & around my die cuts.

For my card, I used an inside slimline die for my linear panel, but instead of cutting from both ends, I cut 2 slits & inserted the die under it. I took a couple of pics to show you. On this pic, I penciled in a little wider than the die & used a Kraft knife to cut the 2 horizontal slits.

Now I positioned the die on top of the first section of the card, but under the band I created, then on top of the bottom section, as shown.

Instead of a solid color, I used a colorful leftover strip I made by using drops of dye reinkers on glossy paper then blowing thru a straw to make the inks move. I added partial cobalt blue frames around the die cuts because I thought it looked more finished this way.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
