Today we are taking a look back at Our Daily Bread designs August Release, here is the card I created using the Strawberries, Blue Ribbon Winner, Canning Jar dies , Fancy Foliage dies & Recipe & Tag dies. For more inspiration using the Augsut Release be sure to visit the ODBD Blog.

For my card, I stamped and die cut the lg and sm canning jars, reverse masked them and stamped the strawberries inside and colored them with Copic markers. I die cut a recipe card and then moved the bottom of the die up to shorten it a bit. With the die in place, I sponged some lt green ink inside the die edge and stamped the Strawberries on the tab. The lg strawberries and strawberry border were die cut and colored with Copics. For the large background, I use the vine from the Fancy Foliage dies and embossed it in several places rather than die cutting it. I used a green Copic to add color to the leaves and vines. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50 and these are the Copics I used.

  • Sunny Strawberries

    Julie Warner - https://thewritestuff.justwritedesigns.com
Today’s Ways to Use It Challenge on Splitcoast (WT440) is Sun Rays! I used a candy cane embossing folder for the diagonal lines and I sponged on a couple of inks to make my “sun rays” background. I stamped the strawberries, colored them with Copics and die cut w/ a rectangle die. I also die cut the ODBD Fancy Flourish vine a couple of times and punched a few flowers to add onto the vine. I added a little stickles to the flower centers. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50 and these are the Copics I used to color the strawberries.

  • ODBD August Release!

    Julie Warner – https://thewritestuff.justwritedesigns.com

Welcome to the Our Daily Bread designs August Release! Wow, do we some fabulous images for you! For my cards, I’m using these images and dies.

    Julie Warner – https://thewritestuff.justwritedesigns.com

For my first card, I stamped the pickles in two colors of green ink to make the background. The pickle circle was colored with Copics and die cut with a circle die. The scallop circle behind it was stamped with the Baking Gift Tags (March 2013 release) and die cut with the matching Recipe & Tag dies. The gingham background was stamped w/ the cantaloupe ink on a piece of yellow textured card stock. I die cut a canning jar and stamped a pickle and  the greeting inside, and added some color to the lid and jar. A die cut fancy foliage flourish was added as well as some seam binding I colored with Copics and three little buttons. The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25 and these are the Copics I used to color the images.

For my second card, I used the new Blue Ribbon Winner, Strawberries & Pickles sets along with the Baking Gift Tags and Gingham Bg images. The Gingham was stamped w/ neptune ink on the white background and edged with black. The canning jars were stamped, reverse masked and pickles and strawberries were stamped inside. I added a flourish from the Fancy Foliage dies along w/ some little leaves and added some green to the lt blue leaves. The sentiment was die cut with a circle die and the scallop circle from the Baking Gift Tag set was stamped and die cut with the matching die. I added some little flags die cut with some Spellbinders dies. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50 and these are the Copics I used to color everything.
