North Coast Creations January Release!

On my first card, I used the lovely Floral Sentiments 3. I stamped the poppies and one extra big poppy, colored with Copics and did an out of the box treatment when die cutting it with a large oval. On the extra poppy, I cut some of the petal in toward the center and popped them up for a little dimension. It’s framed with coral layer and the background on the right was stamped with an ODBD mini bg image. The designer paper was cut with a bracket border die and the greeting was stamped on an ODBD tag die. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50 and these are the Copics I used.

Paper: X-Press It, Basic Grey (Green at Heart), coral textured (DCWV)

Ink: Memento tuxedo black & new sprout, Versfine onyx

Accessories: Copic markers, ODBD Recipe & Tag dies, Spellbinders ovals, Opulent ovals & bracket border dies, half pearls, ribbon, Mini Bowdabra

For my second card, I used the beautiful Floral Sentiments flower image and one of the Floral Sentiments 2 greetings. After stamping, coloring and die cutting the flower, I added some stickles down the center veins and a cobalt circle behind it. The greeting was die cut w/ the top part of an ODBD Recipe Card die and I resized it just a bit to make the tab narrower. The dp was die cut along the bottom edge with a border die..the cobalt band was embossed and I added an ODBD Fancy Foliage vine around the band. The white bg was also embossed

The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25 and these are the Copics I used.

Earth Laughs

A big CONGRATS to Ellen, the Featured Stamper on Splitcoast (FS322)! She has a lovely, growing gallery and I chose her Happy Birthday to You card to case. I kept the layout and sunny yellow as one of my colors, but I used different images, left off the horizontal banner and used a bow instead of a flower.

The images are from Our Daily Bread designs. I stamped the 3 different size images and die cut them w/ the coordinating Spellbinders Labels 26 dies. After adding some color w/ copics, I stacked them, adding a little dimensional tape under each. I used a leftover strip of black/white paper down the side and added a few tiny yellow gems on the top image. I stamped the morning glories, colored them and fussy cut them to add around my seam binding bow. Copics were also used to color the seam binding. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50.

Engagement Wishes

This is for the Inspiration Challenge on Splitcoast (IC336) and features a sneak peek at a new Engagement sentiment from DRS Designs. I really liked this pretty Pendant and used the colors and tree shape for my inspiration. The card itself is pretty clean and simple because I really wanted the sentiment to take the center stage. I had die cut this leafy flourish for another card and the reverse (piece left over ) cut was just sitting there and I thought it would make a lovely backdrop with some light gray card stock behind it. I used an edge die to cut the right side before attaching to my 4.25 x 5.50 white card. I think the peach bow adds just the right touch of color.
