A big congrats to Joyce, the newest Featured Stamper (FS626) on Splitcoast! She has a wonderful gallery & I chose THIS to case. I really liked the tree silhouette w/ the square behind it so I kept those. But I used die cuts instead of images, added some layers here & there & made mine a Christmas card.
This is one of those “very hard to photograph” cards because of the mirror gold paper. It’s so wonderful IRL, but the camera just can’t get it. The tree, snowflake, backing layers & snowdrift hills were all cut out of mirror gold. For the snowdrift hills I also used an embossing folder to add the snow dots. The Believe part of the greeting was gold embossed & the rest was stamped w/ twilight (navy) Versaclair ink. Yep, the Misti really came in handy for that!
Here’s a look at the inside. I used the negative part of the snowflake as stencil for the gold flakes down the side.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
