Today we are taking a look back at the Our Daily Bread designs fabulous July release! Don’t you LOVE those trendy pennant dies and coordinating stamps? I sure do! I can see lots of uses for these babies in my future! I had a lot of fun with this card….and it’s a combination of dies and left overs from earlier projects. Isn’t it great when you find bits & pieces that all come together in a new project? This is also for the Inspiration Challenge (IC450). I was inspired by THIS pillow.Â
The other day, we had a Splitcoast challenge to “color the embossing” (TLC489). The aqua lower section is one of my “try outs”. After I embossed it, I colored over the top with a white marker. The top section, is a small leftover of a die cut ODBD Daisy Chain die. I had a few white asters left, so I die cut a few more from the Asters die and layered them together w/ a black print Candi dot on top. I used a white strip to stamp the rest of my greeting (from the Dad set) and bordered it w/ a black die cut from the Beautiful Borders dies.Â
And for the grand finale, I die cut a white Pennant Row and stamped the Happy on it from the Pennant Alphabet stamp set then added an aqua scallop pennant form the same Pennant Row dies underneath. A few more Candi dots finished it all.Â
Please be sure to stop and visit all of the team blogs for more inspiration!
