    Butterfly Blessings 06931
On my first card, I made a couple of water color backgrounds using yellows, oranges & peach colors. I stamped the Boho Paisley Background on one, the butterfly on part of another & used another portion for the greeting oval. I didn’t want to completely cover the new Boho Paisley Bg image, but I wanted a little separation behind the butterfly, so I only used part of the white die cut Boho Bg die. The greeting was die cut w/ the new Oval & Stitched Oval dies. I used a neon yellow gel pen to add a Bandana effect to the butterfly & background. Here’s a look at the inside.

    Paisley Hope cu 06924
    Weekly-Favorite
My second card started with two white panels I brayered with a rainbow ink pad. Paisley Hope 06920
I used one to stamp the Boho Faith pattern, then I black embossed it and die cut w/ the Vintage Label die & added a larger white layer behind it. I die cut the Flourished Pattern out of black, attached it to the larger background then embossed them both w/ the Flourished Pattern die. The die cut Hope was added along with some fussy cut little flowers (from the Boho Love set) & I used a white gel pen to add highlights.

  • Serendipity SSCB#45 pt 2- Monochrome!

Welcome to part 2 of the July Challenge for Serendipity Stamps! This month the challenge is Monochrome..pick one color & use it. You can get all the details over on the Serendipity Challenge Blog.  We have something new…a “Stamp of the Month”. Each month a different image will be 50% off. This month- it’s the Winter Doe.  Get a Craft Pick free with your $25 order (while supplies last) & be sure to check out the great deals on the Clearance Stamps. And as always, we have a  have a gift certificate up for grabs to a random player.
    Across the Miles 06903
The color I went with for my monochrome card is red. I thought it would stand out well against all the white space. I had two partial sheets, one w/ a faint woodgrain pattern, the other w/ tiny white stars so the layout evolved around these pieces. The USA map was stamped on a white pierced panel & I had to tilt it a bit & move HI & AK a bit to fit around the greeting. The die cut Concho (from the Bandana die) was added in the corner along with a punched state of TX & little heart. I have several sizes of TX punches/dies & I chose it because I’m a TX native, it’s in the middle & the shape is easily recognizable. 😀 And I love the concho..it reminds me of the Texas Ranger badge & a couple of my ancestors were TX Rangers. But this map would work great with any state you want to highlight.
Here’s a look at the inside using the last bits of leftover paper.

    Out of Snorts cu06911
I needed a card for a friend who’s not been feeling well, and normally I wouldn’t make this cute little piglet so pink, but since it’s monochromatic, I needed him to go with the paper. This is also for SweetMissDaisy’s Dare to Get Dirty Challenge. The details are HERE, but you’ll need to be a Fan Club member…it’s easy, just click to find out how.

For the Piggy, I used my Misti to stamp her with Memento, colored with Copics, then over stamped using Versafine. Love how it really brings out the details! I did move the little flowers from the image in order to make way for the Out of Snorts greeting.  I added a couple of die cut frames around her then stamped the flower on both papers and fussy cut.
Here’s a look at the inside & also the Copics I used.

  • North Coast Creation June Release!

    NCC Sending Flowers cu06617
Welcome to the North Coast Creations June Release! You’re going to love these 2 new Floral sets! And the greetings have such beautiful fonts!

    Prize Information:

Just for commenting on the Design Team Blog Posts, you have a chance to win a $10 NCC Gift Certificate, good towards the purchase of NCC Stamps. You have until June 24, 2015 at 10:00 PM EDT to leave a comments on the participating designers blogs for a chance to win! Two random winners will be selected from the comments left on the designers blogs, the winners will be announced on the NCC Blog on June 25, 2015, be sure to check back there to see if you have won!

     NCC Sending FLowers 06616
For my first card, I’m using the beautiful Floral Sentiments 8 set. After coloring it with Copics, I die cut it with a large circle & the reddish print circle with the Matting Circles dies. The largest green print was die cut using the outer die of the Doily die set. The large reddish layer was die cut w/ the Flourished Star Pattern die. The white layer was die cut & to add a little texture, I left it in the die, spritzed it w/ water then laid a piece of cross stitch canvas on top and used it as an embossing plate. For the cute little bow, here’s a link to make one using an envelope punch board..it’s just pictures BOW.These are the Copics I used.

    NCC Sending Flowers copics 06614

    Supplies:

Stamps:  North Coast Creations – Floral Sentiments 8
Paper:  X-Press It white, Neenah white,  dp (SEI -Sunny Day)
    Ink:  Memento tuxedo black
Accessories: ODBD Flourished Star Pattern, Matting Circles, Doily, Mini Tags dies, Spellbinders A2 matting basics A & circle dies, Copic markers, twine, Envelope punch board, cross stitch canvas mesh

My next card uses the lovely Floral Sentiments 7. Instead of bright colors, I decided to keep this one neutral to go with the lovely Vintage Ephemera paper collection. This wasn’t easy for me, lol. I love vibrant colors!
    NCC Sepia Flowers cu 06605
I went a little over the top with the die cuts and flowers, but when using this many neutral colors, more texture gives it more interest. The layers, border, top scrolls, butterflies & flowers were all die cut out of different pieces of the same paper collection. To add a little sparkle, I put some stickles in the center of the die cut flowers and also on the flowers of the image.
