I didn’t have a chance to do Saturday’s Inspiration challenge at SCS until today. But I really needed a birthday card for a little girl and I knew when I saw this Party Dress and remembered the template from Paper Craft Mag’s website, that this was the card I wanted to make.
I printed out the pattern, then enlarged to 108% and cut one on white 12 x 4.5 c/s (folded in half lengthwise). I cut another front only out of the dp. Then I cut an apron out of vellum and ran it thru the CB w/ the Swiss dots folder. I used a white Permopaque marker around the edges.
I cut a narrow band out of white and used the mini scallop scissors on top and bottom. I placed this behind the vellum then attached ribbon on top. That stupid little bow took me over half an hour to tie. I think I’ve mentioned before, I suffer from SRD (severe ribbon dysfunction).
The bottom of the card also has a mini scallop border. I attached the apron/ribbon to the dp dress then attached this to the card. I made a little collar w/ the mini scallop scissors and pierced around the edge then attached it to my dress. Drops of liquid pearls were added as buttons.
Supplies:
