Happy Saturday! I hope y’all are having a super weekend!
These “note” cards are for two challenges. The one on the left is for today’s IC232 challenge and the one on the right is for yesterday’s F4A12 challenge. For the IC challenge, I was inspired by the Notables sets. I wish they had a bigger picture of it, but I liked the music and guitars in the pattern. For the F4A challenge, I made a similar card but only colored in the spotlight area. I hadn’t really done this technique before and it was fun.
All images are Sparkle N Sprinkle. On both cards, the guitar was stamped and masked multiple times. With the masks still in place, I stamped the swirling music around the necks of the guitars. I stamped one extra guitar for each card. Everything was colored using Prismacolor pencils. I cut out the spotlight area using a Spellbinders Mega Oval, cut a slightly larger black mat and attached it back over the cut out area. Opposite corners were rounded and then edged w/ a black marker.
The black background was stamped w/ a music scrap image in black chalk ink and the spiral edge punch was used down the left sides. It’s hard to see the black on black here, but it’s visible IRL. On the left one, I scribbled more Prismacolors across a strip of white and stamped the notes, then cut around them. On the right one, I used the pencils to create a narrow border behind the black layer. The greetings were stamped and the music notes added. Both cards are 4.25 x 5.5 (A2).
Thanks so much for stopping by! Your comments are always read and much appreciated.

Beautiful card, Julie! Lots of masking but well worth it — great musical card.
Love the shading within the spotlighted component, and also your take on the challenges being incorporated! It also gives perspective of how to reuse a single image repeatedly to create a striking effect! Wodnerful cards!
These are both gorgeous cards but I really like the one on the right it is a fabulous way to highlight the one guitar! Love this image!
More gorgeous cards! I love both of these cards! A lot of thought and time went into these beauties! TFS!
These cards are fabulous – love the one with the spotlight! You’ve colored them marvelously!
Oh, both these cards are so much fun, but I love the spotlight one best! Wonderful image and colors to use.
