It’s my honor to host the Splitcoast Featured Stamper Challenge (FS719) & a big congrats to Dacia, the newest Featured Stamper! She has a beautiful gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I kept the Christmas theme & inked/embossed bg but used different images & dies & inked a die (instead of an embossing folder) & embossed it.
For my slimline card, I used these beautiful layering stamps & Color Fuse inks to stamp the pinecones, berries & leaves then die cut them. I attached them to a red rectangle frame on top of a green rectangle. On the long bg, I inked the die w/ gray ink then embossed it instead of cutting it. I really like the pattern it left.
Here’s how I inked it. Pretty easy..just tap the ink pad to the die, like you would for a stamp. I wouldn’t rub it because the the metal can tear up your ink pad.
Then place the inked die onto your card stock, being careful not to move or shift it, & emboss it like you would a texture plate.
I used gray ink & this is how it looks afterwards.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
