Today we are taking a look back at the Our Daily Bread designs January release! Don’t you love the fabulous dies & wonderful sets? And the Bible journaling sets are so beautiful! I’m featuring one in my card today, so you’ll see, they are beautiful for more than just one use.
I love the images on this anchor set..the smiling sun is so wonderfully hopeful above the scripture with the anchor and shells. I had some textured paper w/ a big anchor on it & I thought it would emphasize the scripture. I wanted the anchor to show up but not overpower the scripture so I stamped it onto a antique vanilla vellum using the multi color ink & embossed it w/ clear powder. I added just a hint of color on the back side of the vellum w/ some Copic markers then used the largest Double Stitched Rectangle to die cut it. I did it 2 corners at a time to get the narrower profile. On the striped anchor dp, I wanted to stamp some of the Fishing Net Bg but I wanted to mask the anchor. After thinking about it for a minute, I decided to make a copy of the dp, then cut out the anchor for a mask. It worked perfectly. The vellum panel was attached w/ tiny brads & I did a little out of the box on the large anchor. The finished card is a little taller & narrower to accommodate the long vellum panel (4 1/18″ x 6″).
Here’s a look at the inside.
