For the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC789), we’re headed to one of the Tim Holtz Pinterest Boards. I chose THIS as my inspiration. I really love all the bright colors & long layout.

For my card, I die cut the city skyline & a bunch of the trees then watercolored them. The city didn’t stand out as much as I would have liked so I added a slight black outline to the top. The city part is attached to the back of the white frame then I elevated it w/ some fun foam. The trees were attached to the background, then the cityscape w/ frame were attached on top.

A big congrats to Fifi, the newest Featured Stamper (FS727) on Splitcoast! She has a real wow gallery & I wasn’t sure how I was going to case anything. I finally settled on THIS card. I loved all the flowers & circular arrangement so I kept that, but I used different images & dies, a different layout & simplified my version a bit.

The flowers & leaves were all multi stamped w/ the inks & die cut. I arranged them in the circle & popped up the greeting circle in the middle. The striped lower panel was added under the envelope like cut lower edge. I usually only add a few sequins, but I spilled some & liked how they fell, so I added them all.

It’s my pleasure to host the 1st Inspiration Challenge of 2012! And we’re to a site called Fancy. After a lot of window shopping, I chose THIS for my inspiration. I loved all the glittery sea color on the fish scale pattern & it reminded me of this slimline die.

For my very glittery & shiny card, I die cut the fish scale once out of silver mirror board & once out of a smooth white glitter card. Before I removed the glitter one from the die, I put tape on the backside to hold all the pieces together. Using Copics, I colored in some of the inside pieces then put the silver frame on top & some of the silver inside pieces. The fish & seaweed were also die cut & I added a little Wink of Stella on the fins.  The silver mirror board is hard to stamp on, so I had to use Stazon for the greeting. For a little added sparkle, I put some stickles on top of the glitter pieces.

Here are the Copics I used:
