Welcome to the Mar #1 Blog Hop for Serendipity Stamps!

The Prize – One $20 gift code will go to one random commenter from the blogs. So be sure  to visit all the blogs because you don’t know which one the winner will be drawn from. You have through Sunday Mar 11 to leave comments on the blogs for a chance to win. Mary will announce a winner on Mar 12  on her Blog. On the first & third Wednesdays of every month, we’ll be celebrating with a Blog Hop! The Special this month is the Lilac stamp – 50% off!

This is also for the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC641). I was inspired by THIS butterfly.

For my Lilac Note, I put the lovely image in my Misti, stamped & colored w/ Copics. I used Prismacolor pencils to do a light overlay in areas then over stamped it to bring back the details. It was die cut & I had to do a little out of the box on the leaves on the left. I had a couple of left over rectangles in 2 shades of purple & I thought they looked nice behind the upper left & helped balance out the composition. I had to finagle the greeting a bit to work around the image & I added a little white gel pen around a loop of the J to help it stand out. A little wink of Stella was added…hard to see here, but shimmery in real life!

Here’s a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.

Please be sure to comment on all the blogs..it is much appreciated & also increases your chances of winning!
